Last night was the first time, since 2004′s Janet Jackson’s incident, that a Super Bowl’s Halftime Show consisted of a contemporary act. Yup, the Black Eyed Peas and two guests put on a twelve plus minute show for all the viewers.
The foursome kept it very PG with a medley of their hits: “I Gotta Feeling,” “Boom Boom Pow,” “Let’s Get It Started,” “Where Is the Love?” and “The Time (Dirty Bit).” In between, guitarist Slash performed “Sweet Child o’ Mine” with Fergie before Usher took to the stage to perform “OMG” with Will.i.am.
After watching the performance, it was cool. The Peas did excellent but everything since 2004 just seems okay with the exception of Prince’s Halftime show some years back.
