  The video premiere for Shakira’s second US single premiered at 3pm EST. The video is for the Timbaland produced “Give It Up to Me” featuring Lil Wayne.

  WOW! Is this really what pushed the album back 2 months for the US release? She Wolf is perfect as is and they think this lackluster Timbaland joint is going to make the album a success? Then this cheap video, it’s obvious Shakira and Lil Wayne weren’t even together during the shoot. They just merged both of them into one scene on a green screen. Both the song and video are a  big disappointment.

  Last night on Saturday Night Live, Shakira was the musical guest accompanying host of the night, Gerard Butler. The sexy singer performed “She Wolf” and “Did It Again”.

• Shakira Sets the Stage on Fire at DWtS

  Last night, Shakira graced the dancefloor twice on Dancing With the Stars to perform some new and old. She first performed “Did It Again” which has grown on us like some infectious virus. She really had the energy and her vocals were crisp live. Oh and that matrix drum beating was crazzzy. Later, she took to the dancefloor once again to perform her hit record, “Hips Don’t Lie”, from her last album. Seeing these performances really show how gorgeous and talented this woman truly. Also, She Wolf is in stores NOW; she really concocted nine great songs that’s a mix of electro, world and Shaira.

  Shakira is on the promo trail by being the covergirl for yet another magazine. The sexy Columbian is pure eye-candy on the November 2009 issue of i-D magazine. She also sits down with the magazine for an interview in which she discusses many topics including her changing views on life standards. Read below:

  On her video for She Wolf:
  I wanted to express my vision, I wanted to articulate with images what I feel the song relates to, what it symbolizes. The golden cage that I’m in is a metaphor, because I feel like I’ve been inside a golden cage in my life for many years, with the anticipation of an animal wanting to get out. When I got into that cage for the first time for the shoot, I feel like I went completely unconsciousness at that moment. They hit ‘play’, the music started and at that moment I stared hanging from the bars upside down… the whole performance in that cage is an improvisation. I felt somehow possessed by the spirit of the She Wolf. The She Wolf that has been inside of me all these years, longing to come out. I feel much more like a woman today. I feel more inclined to certain things, to express myself in certain ways and to talk about things with less prudence.

  On whether she would ever pose nude:
  No, I don’t want to, I don’t need to, I don’t feel the need, I don’t think I could do it. I couldn’t be nude. Maybe when I’m 40 and I have another change of mind. (more…)

• Album Preview: Shakira ‘She Wolf’

  After reports that She Wolf was pushed back to a November release, the album still seems to be on track for a October 9 release. With the release date in near sight it’s only normal that the album preview is revealed and Amazon is the place for that preview.

  When the snippets were leaking about a two weeks ago the album sounded like a let down but after listening to the tracks in chronological order the album seems to be pretty decent. However, this album almost feels like a rip off. Reason being, Shakira only releases a new album every few years and technically there are only 9 new songs from the album. The other 4 are repeats; 3 of them are just Spanish translations and 1 is a remix. Oh, Wyclef Jean and Shakira will NOT have another worldwide smash on their hands with “Spy”. Besides that Shakira delivered with this album.

• Similar or What? Shakira’s “Why Wait” and Madonna’s “Incredible”

  It’s less than a month away from She Wolf‘s October 2 release so that means new songs from the project are starting to leak more rapidly. The Neptunes worked with Shakira on a few songs and one of them, “Why Wait”, has leaked.

  Is it us or does this song sound very similar to Madonna’s “Incredible” from her 2008 album Hard Candy. Fact; Hard Candy was majorly produced by The Neptunes and Timbaland… It’s not so much the whole song that’s similar but it’s more the hook’s melody and even the way both females sound like their reaching their vocal limit. The similarities were just apparent.

  Three other song snippets have appeared from Shakira’s album online. They’re alright but aren’t as fresh as “She Wolf”…

• Video Premiere: Shakira “She Wolf”

  After the many snippets and video stills, the video premiere of Shakira’s “She Wolf” has debut earlier, as usual, ahead of its MTV release.

  Shakira! Shakira! what can we we say. Well first, the video was no surprise as we constantly saw her in that gold bar cage and the red glittered background. So it’s almost like watching the video after all the hype has already passed.

  The dancing in this will surely have some girls trying to emulate the Columbian beauty. Her moves are definitely an evolution to what we’ve come to see from the rump shaker although it appeared as if she could defy the properties of physics due to the reverse camera effect. We shouldn’t even mention how she looks because she always looks great. From her album art she seemed to be going into the full glamor direction but we still receive the barefeet natural looking Shakira . Overall, despite the video’s intention on following a concept it still seems to waver but who cares it’s a new HOT song with Shakira dancing sexily on camera.

• “SOS She’s In Disguise”, Shakira’s “She Wolf” In English

  About two weeks ago we brought you the “La Loba”, Shakira’s first single in Spanish. The English version has recently leaked. The English version sticks with our initial thoughts; this is one unusually unique and catchy song. Also, we understand English tons more than we do Spanish and a song like this a person needs to understand the lyrics. This certainly is a song with meaning and can still be played at a club or two. Now we want to see what they’ve done for the video.

• UPDATE: Shakira’s 1st Single: La Loba (She Wolf)

  Everyone’s favorite hip shakin’ Colombian is back with her first single. Yeap, Shakira is back in a whole different way. Her new single “La Loba” which translates into “She Wolf” is completely different from what’s out there on the radio. From the disco inspired instrumental to the Wolf howls this single is the bizness! Because this song is so different it will end up one of two ways; it will be embraced by the masses or be a total failure. It’s hard to determine because the crowd Shakira captured with “Hips Don’t Lie” is much different to the average person that will love this song. Also, the video was shot on June 10 so look out for that in the near future.

  As for the album, it has been confirmed that Pharrell and Toby Gad has produced a portion of it. As Shakira usually does, there will be a Spanish album and an English album. They will be released later this year.

  Laslty, we’ll have the English version of the song when it leaks.

  UPDATE: We’ve added the official single cover for “La Loba”. The English version is due to leak within a week. Shakira is looking smoking hot as usual.
