Despite the forced acting abilities of Rihanna this video is very impressive. The thumping bass matched with the visuals make our hearts race as we anticipate the next occurrence in the video. The video climaxes with ‘Psycho-esque’ scenes (You see Rihanna about to die but her death is not actually shown so you can only assume that she’s now dead). We love the scene of Rihanna in the open field with the car charging towards her; very grandeur. The video bleeds all things over-the-top but it works for this type of song. APPROVED!

Well it seems we missed lots of scorching hot issues yesterday. This blog post entitled “IMPRESSIONABLE MINDS: Secret Societies In the Music Industry” was sparked by the sudden uproar against Rihanna’s single “Russian Roulette.” To tell you the truth WE did not notice the subject matter because although we are analytical in our reviews, when it comes to ‘made-for-radio’ music it’s about the overall sound and doesn’t dig much deeper than the melody and tempo.

Apparently the lyrics of “Russian Roulette” speak of suicide. This caused singer Tiffany Evans to take to her Twitter to vent about the entertainment industry brainwashing the “weak” public in evil ways. Here’s what Tiffany tweeted:

You gotta watch what u say. Because there are a lot of weak people in the world. They are susceptible to anything so anything you say or do some people actually do listen. So make sure its nothing bad. Its okay to be deep,but not murder deep.

Man! I really wish I could tell you guys what the industry really is and what stars are apart of destroying this world. The stars who worship satan,and those who have killed to get the respect they have now. You’d be verrrry surprise. Some of your favorite people pretend to worship God but they only do that to save face. Or seem innocent.

Satan was head of music in heaven. He uses influential people…to help influence the world. Think about that. Once u make a certain amount of money. Just know that that’s when they ask u to join. To get in you have accept the beast, worship. Once you join they assist u with ur career.make u huge.only if u agree and obey to destroy Gods word.and his children.

Ppl listen and pay attention. Its a war going on right now between Good and Evil. Evil will rule this world for a min. The people that have this power are the people that RULE the whole world. I’m done I won’t say anymore before I get in trouble.

What Tiffany is referring to is something called the Illuminati. The rumored Illuminati, or New World Order (NWO), deals with secret organizations which contain members of high power that brainwash with subliminal messages through different forms of media. Another bit of speculation is some of the very same entertainers who millions of the public admire are apart of the organizations. We shall not call names, we will give song titles for identification; “Love Lockdown”, “D.O.A. (Death of Autotune)”, “Umbrella”, “Poker Face” and “Single Ladies” are all supposed to be apart of this cult.

Before we dive deeper into this we don’t run after the first thing we see or hear but we thought it would be a bit of a fearful thrill to explore this. We’re not agreeing with this but we’ve grown up and seen people of power and wealth and that being stated, they like to keep together in close circles. This would refer to the endless country clubs and networking within each another. You may ask what in the world does that have to do with anything but it’s simply to show that those of a certain status don’t like to step outside of their box.

Another thing, if there were in fact an Illuminati they would succeed, OH YES! Just look at the MTV ’09 VMA’s when Jack Black presented with Leighton Meester and he started joking about Satanic Worship. Not one media outlet mentioned that but they were all at Kanye West’s throat ready to slit it in 100 different ways. There are multiple forms of higher beings but Satan or any other negative/evil being is nothing to laugh at or play with.

To pull away from Satan because that may be too literal when trying to comprehend this situation, just look at, and we do not want to use this as a reference but, Josie & The Pussycats: The Movie. The subliminal messages in the pop stars music… c’mon it’s fictitious and far-fetched but not unbelievable.

Money and Power seems to be the leader and when the people heading these huge corporate companies see these young talents become so popular they’re the perfect candidate. The perfect candidate to be processed through a machine and be given an image and make music that will affect the most of the ‘impressionable’ minds of today’s youth.

Our parting comments, people do the most devious things when they’re determined to make it to the top what would ever give you the idea that the people who are involved with so much money would be anymore humane. Once again this is just our exploration of a topic that we’ve been running into for 2 years now and thought it would soothe our interests to know WHY despite it being the truth or a blatant lie.

So, let’s get right into it. Did “Russian Roulette” live up to the monstrous hype? In a nutshell, NO. Is it a good song, YES.

Of course it’s the typical situation, when something is hyped to great extremes and 90% of the time it never lives up to it. This is the case with “Russian Roulette”, written and produced by Ne-Yo. We already engraved into our minds that the song would not reach the caliber of “Umbrella” but our main gripe with the song not meeting the expectations… All this year we’ve been viewing non-stop, almost daily, paparazzi shots of Fenty and each time her style just kept evolving more and more into this dark and edgy being. Simply, we were expecting a loud, hi-energy, uptempo, edgy, instant #1 contender of a single, not an emotional ballad. We thought she would come out swinging with some unique and innovative sound.

Now let’s flip the script. We push aside all the previous hype and listen to the song on its own without any sort of distractions. The song is very good. It starts off with an electric guitar then switches gears into a heartbeat bass line. Rihanna comes in with her improved vocals and starts to sing about love, using the game of russian roulette as an analogy. She sings the song with such delicacy as it progresses into an apex. Implement Rihanna’s line “Soldiers, pull the trigger”, que the heartbeat bassline and BANG! There you have it and that’s Rihanna’s first offering. The song is giving us “Unfaithful” vibes and will surely go on to do well on the charts.

The confirmation came that Rihanna’s new album will be entitled Rated R to be released November 23, 2009. The video for the single, “Russian Roulette”, will be directed by long-time collaborator Anthony Mandler and is set to premiere on ABC-TV.

At this point, with less than a day away and no music leakage, the anticipation for Rihanna’s new single is at a boiling point. Earlier today a paparazzi video from the video shoot of something pertaining to Rihanna was released and in the background you could hear a song “The wait is ova, the wait is ova…” We were sort of let down because making a song solely based on an antcipation will get stale before you know it. Also, according to RihannaDaily, the video we thought was for her single may be for another single or some sort of other promotion. The other report is that “the wait is ova…” bit of audio may be the intro to the single but not the actual single. What we do  know as being concrete information is Rihanna’s single is entitled “Russian Roulette.” and is written and produced by Ne-Yo. Ryan Seacrest posted on his Twitter page:
