• Video Premiere: 50 Cent “Baby by Me” feat. Ne-Yo

  The video premiere of Fiddy’s “Baby by Me” featuring Ne-Yo premiered this morning. The new single and video is taken from 50′s Before I Self Destruct which got bumped up to a November 16 release date because of the early leak. The video also stars Kelly Rowland as the leading the lady.

  We’ve been a fan of the Polow Da Don produced track for awhile now and the video serves it’s purpose. Ne-Yo is secluded to a black backdrop singing his bit as the rest of the video follows 50 and Kelly’s romance, not bad.

  We do not even know why people bother to mention why 50 isn’t as big as he was. Remember the manufactured “beef” in 2007 between his Curtis and West’s Graduation. He said and we quote, “If Kanye wins I’ll quit making music…” Kanye won and that was that. You do not go running off at the mouth and expect things to be different, even a few years later.

• Listen To a Game of “Russian Roulette” With Rihanna Tomorrow at 11:23am EST

  At this point, with less than a day away and no music leakage, the anticipation for Rihanna’s new single is at a boiling point. Earlier today a paparazzi video from the video shoot of something pertaining to Rihanna was released and in the background you could hear a song “The wait is ova, the wait is ova…” We were sort of let down because making a song solely based on an antcipation will get stale before you know it. Also, according to RihannaDaily, the video we thought was for her single may be for another single or some sort of other promotion. The other report is that “the wait is ova…” bit of audio may be the intro to the single but not the actual single. What we do  know as being concrete information is Rihanna’s single is entitled “Russian Roulette.” and is written and produced by Ne-Yo. Ryan Seacrest posted on his Twitter page:

  heads up – tomorrow i’ll have @rihanna’s new single “russian roulette” at 8:23am pst/11:23am est. I’ll link u when i get it

  We’re pretty much ready for this single and while we’re not expecting an “Umbrella”, Rihanna is Def Jam‘s biggest cash cow/superstar of the moment and there not going to give her any B grade music. Come back here tomorrow at 11:23am EST (New York Time) on the dot to listen to the song below.

• Ne-Yo, A Princess & A Frog

  Here, we have another leaked song from Ne-Yo but this time it’s actually for a project to be released. The song entitled “Never Knew I Needed” is taken from the original motion picture soundtrack for Disney’s next animated film, The Princess & the Frog which stars Anika Noni Rose as the princess.

  We may not be serious fans of Ne-Yo or anything but his work is very consistent. This song just adds to the consistency as it is one of those songs you like upon first listen. The Stargate production is also not as stale as previous songs from the duo. The drum rhythm, the harmonies and the vocals are cooked together for a cool match.

• When Autotune’s Use is Still Good, Gorilla Zoe

  Gorilla Zoe has enlisted the help of R&B crooner Ne-Yo for his latest single “Echo”. This was a hot song from the beginning surprisingly; the autotune seems as fresh as the early days of T-Pain. The song remains the same except for the verse from Ne-Yo and a little altering to the intro which was better in the original. Give it a listen.

• On that Uptempo…

  First let me start off by saying how fly Amber Rose is. As far as looks go, she’s the best Kanye’s had; in the spotlight. She is what defines a video vixen in a more positive way. Sure she may be dating a celebrity but she seems strong and rebellious and in many instances she outshines her date. But back to business; since this post is Kanye related it wasn’t too far off to post a pic of her to accompany the post.

  Here we have an ambient uptempo remix of Mr. Hudson’s “Supernova” featuring Kanye West. The track was remixed by Calvin Harris and is perfect for anything that requires energy. It also fits with the whole space theme and makes it feel like some futuristic light speed theme. With a dance remix shortened to radio time the intro still seems incredibly long. It almost turns the listener off from the song altogether. Overall this is a bright remix.

  The song that finally gave Keri Hilson the mainstream success she worked so hard for, “Knock You Down” has also received the dance remix treatment.

  I find it as no surprise that this song scored Keri her first #1 on the R&B Charts. Will besides the guest features of Ne-Yo and Kanye this was like the only song that was newly recorded for her album In a Perfect World… Which also goes to show if her album had actually been released on its initial release date it would have hit harder because the material would not have been heard by everyone 100 times over before the album came out.

• The Decision is Final

  This rumored buzz single leaked for Brandy’s forthcoming sixth album a week or so ago featuring Ne-Yo. Now “Decisions” is here in its full-mastered format. Still a great song and it’s even better in HQ. You see we are audiophiles (“someone with with an interest in high fidelity sound reproduction and its associated technology”) so the quality of a song alone is able to sway our opinion.
