• Miley Cyrus Leaves Pop Behind With “Forgiveness & Love” At 2010 AMA’s

  Miley Cyrus parted with Pop for a brief moment at the 2010 American Awards as she took to the stage to perform “Forgiveness & Love.” Taking on the vibe of a “true artiste,” Cyrus did her best to sing such a song live. It was far from perfect but it was a appreciated change to see her do a little something different, live. Notice at the end, the camera cuts to her mother as the song is supposedly about her parents’ recent divorce.

• Miley Cyrus Wants Y’all to Know, She is Not a “Robot”

  Miley Cyrus, oh Miley Cyrus, how you’ve grown drastically in these last few years. Yes, Miley Cyrus is releasing her latest studio effort entitled Can’t Be Tamed which is to be her last album for a good while and will contain a handful of songs that will see her trying to break her Disney image to bits. The album in which she described as “techno” features a song, “Robot,” which after you listen to is the leader in trying to break her mold.

  For a song that is off a techno album and is titled “Robot” there is a surprising lack of auto-tune and electro but more of a rock sound to it. In the chorus, Cyrus screams, “Stop trying to live my life for me/ I need to breath, I’m not your robot/ Stop telling me I’m a part of this big machine/ I’m breaking free, cant you see/ I can love, I can speak/ Without somebody else operating me/ You gave me eyes, so now i see/ I’m not your robot, I’m just me.” What a mouthful there, she obviously feels the need to grow as she will be turning 18 this year. Afterall, if she wants to remain on the scene she needs to leave the tweens and teens behind because their attention span is very limited and are probably already onto the next manufactured product of an artist. “Robot” is a great Pop/Rock tune and definitely has to be a single.

  For the record: Miley Cyrus has had the most amazing pair of legs for the longest while. Wait, what’s that, she’s not legal yet. In that case we take back such perverted comments, geesh.

• Timbaland & Miley Cyrus Belong to Music

  Timbaland’s Shock Value 2 has been hit and miss so far, mostly miss but there are one or two songs that stand out. The Miley Cyrus collaboration is one of them. The two came together for a song entitled “We Belong to Music.”

  Most would wonder how an über pop singer like Cyrus would fit with an urban producer like Timbaland but the outcome is one catchy made for radio hit. Plus, we think Cyrus already garnered a whole new set of fans with the ultra catchy “Party In the USA.” This will even sound better on a booming sound system. With this being one of the few songs from Shock Value 2 that’s decent we hope there are at least a few more because we miss the Midas touch of Timbaland from 2006.

• VH1 Divas 2009

  After a multiple year hiatus the VH1 Divas special has returned. The six ladies who received the honor of being classified a “diva”; Jennifer Hudson, Adele, Leona Lewis, Kelly Clarkson, Jordin Sparks and Miley Cyrus all took the stage to treat the audience with beautiful solo and duet performances. For now we only have the solo performances sans Miley Cyrus. Sadly, Yardie must share the same opinion of most people. That opinion of wondering why in the world Cyrus was chosen as a diva.
