Epic Records is cashing in on Pop legend Michael Jackson by releasing MICHAEL on December 14. The album will contain unreleased tracks that were recorded over the past few years. The first posthumous single to be lifted from the project is “Breaking News” but close relatives of Jackson are arguing that the vocals on the new single are not Jackson. Below, is what what Jackson’s nephew had to say about the whole situation:

There’s many MJ vocal impersonators. Some better than others. But there is only ONE Michael Jackson. Deceptively merging shady vocals with MJ samples (from prior MJ records) will never fool me. Why they would ignore the obvious, look the other way and rush a suspicious track that was NEVER on my Uncle’s radar is beyond me. I’m disgusted, disappointed and saddened. And before the media starts to smear our name, just remember we are COMMITTED (as our Uncle Michael always knew) to protect his name and his amazing legacy he worked his whole life for. We have nothing to gain and we know they will try to drag our name through the mud. But we know how much he valued his legacy and his fans. And cheating either is unacceptable. “Lies run sprints, but the truth runs marathons”

Sounds like Jason Malachi to me too. The vibrato is a dead give away that it’s not my uncle. Fans, I am so sorry you were put through this. If you heard the acapella you would be even more disgusted. Sampled breaths after sampled breaths mixed in with fake vocals to try to fool you. They said this is 100% my Uncle. Not 70, 80 or 90 but a 100%. Every line, every word. We just wanted to take this post out to congratulate the BET Network for finally finding the right formula to produce an entertaining and well organized award show. Keeping in tradition, the show clocked in a 3+ hour runtime but that was okay because the performances were brilliant with the exception of maybe 1 or 2. Kanye West’s performance was filled with egoism but more importantly, power.

Fast forward to Chris Brown’s Michael Jackson‘s tribute performance and the guy displayed his admiration for Jackson the best way he could, his dance moves. Brown did eventually break down into crying making him unable to get through his cover of “Man On the Mirror.” Many people had negative comments for the young entertainer but it was a great moment; it completely showed how gracious and grateful Chris brown was for the opportunity.

It was also nice to see El Debarge return to the stage; jamming to the old school hits was so nostalgic. Accompanying that greatness was Prince, receiving his Lifetime Achievement Award. With the help of the amazing Janelle Monáe, Esperanza Spalding, Alicia Keys and Patti Labelle to cover some of Prince’s hits and Prince’s so humble yet icon exuding speech, it was 20 minutes of good television.

The night was filled with other great moments: performances, acceptance speeches, deserving award winners. The atmosphere was just drenched in happiness and positivity, good job BET.

Just a short while ago at midnight the title track to Michael Jackson’s documentary, ‘This Is It’, premiered on the official site of the King of Pop. This song will be the lead from the two-disc soundtrack to be released on October 27. “This Is It” features background vocals from his brothers and was recorded during his 1991 sessions of the Dangerous era.

Now that Jackson has passed away hearing any sort of new music from him will be a treat. The song, like this one, does not need to powerful, epic nor classic to be appreciated. The finger snaps, the “woo’s”, the harmonies etc… priceless!

Michael Jackson – This Is It

The documentary revealing the footage from Michael Jackson’s rehearsals of his This Is It tour will indeed have a soundtrack. In fact a song that leaked about a year ago between himself and Akon will serve as the lead single. The song is entitled “Hold My Hand”.

There is no denying that Akon has certainly become one the greater melodists of this decade. With that being said, “Hold My Hand” is a cool mid-tempo track in which both of the males’ vocals complement each other to the point where they’re almost an identical match. We can see this song being played during a montage of clips in slow motion stirring up some emotions.

Also, a clip from the documentary of Jackson performing “Human Nature” teases the viewers of just how great the concert would have been. What got us the most was the fact that he sounds identical to his records, wow. He sounds exactly like when the record was first released, that’s amazing.

Those of you who watched the Michael Jackson tribute performed by his sister Janet Jackson and several other world-renowned choreographers were most likely blown away. Some of you may wonder how much work goes into 4 minutes of energy packed dance moves and synchronization? Well MTV did a 20 mini-documentary of what went on behind-the-scenes. The event will start at 12 PM ET but for now, until it starts, you can watch US President Barack Obama in Moscow, Russia at the Business Summit.

Today at the Staples Center; the Memorial of Michael Jackson will take place. Of course this will be a big deal so all the big television news outlets like MSNBC, Fox News, Fox, NBC, ABC, and CNN will be broadcasting the event for as long as it airs. There’s no question about it that many places here on the internet will stream it live as well and C.S. will be one of the hosts. So check back here later at 12 pm ET to watch all the festivities. It would be safe to check in an hour ahead just in case.

There will be performances from Mariah Carey, Jennifer Hudson with more celebs and entertainers coming to pay their respects to the King of Pop.

As you can see above TIME magazine will be releasing a special commemorative issue dedicated entirely to Michael Jackson next week Monday on the 29th. Many public figures were spoken to for the issue including Clive Davis, Tommy Mottola, Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, Tina Turner, Nancy Reagan, Lenny Kravitz, Berry Gordy, Spike Lee, Sheryl Crow, Anjelica Huston, Clive Davis, Al Sharpton, Deepak Chopra, Kobe Bryant, Lance Bass, Oscar De La Hoya, Savion Glover, A.R. Another big issue after Michael’s Jackson’s passing was one that crossed my mind quickly; is what would happen to the umpteen amount of people who bought tickets for Jackson’s This Is It tour. Well the tickets will be refunded but in September there will be one show that will pay tribute to the King of Pop. The show will be similar to what the concert would have been with the addition of many A-List entertainers taking the stage. Madonna confirmed shortly after Jackson’s death that she was to be a surprise guest during the first show of the tour so an appearance by the Queen of Pop is almost guaranteed. WOW there are just too many performers that would make that show a hit. But I have to admit, Chris Brown of the younger generation deserves the opportunity to partake in this event. The influence Michael Jackson had on him is clear as day.

It should come as no surprise that Michael Jackson will rule all the charts in the upcoming week, or weeks. There’s nothing like death to get someone interested in an artist’s work again. We thought it would only be appropriate that we pick some of our favorites from Michael Jackson. Practically ALL of his songs would show up on this site but let’s be real… Here are four songs that stood out to us.

“Will You Be There”, the popular song that appeared on the Free Willy Soundtrack and his album Dangerous, had such an epic feel with the its content about the struggles of life. Then the choir just added to the colossal feeling when you listen to this.

“Speechless” which appeared on Invincible (Michael’s last studio album) was not released as a single but definitely stood out. As far as I’m concerned it was a single because it was played numerous times on Bahamian radio. The acoustic intro transitioning into that beautiful melody is priceless.

“Black or White” was Michael’s first single from Dangerous and was all about racial unity. It has such an international sound. It was a rap/rock/pop masterpiece. Yea it did spark some controversy but that’s what happens when you make such an aggressive, opinionated, uptempo gem.

Now this one is not an official Michael Jackson song but it’s very rare and it’s an exquisite mash-up. The song is a mash-up of Queens “Under Pressure”, Michael Jackson’s “Rock With You” and Robbie Williams “Rock DJ”. Three iconic songs melted together in one pot. PERFECTION!

For you Bahamian viewers it came as a shock as it was announced that More 94 FM radio personality Anthony “Fatback” Marshall had passed. It was due to heart complications. I remember the first time hearing him on the radio man I could not stop laughin’. He was always sharp with the jokes and had the listeners tuned in. R.I.P. Fatback.

On another note: The Bahamas should really implement a healthier eating system. C’mon our national dish is peas n rice, potato salad, macaroni, coleslaw and some sort of meat. Even the conch salad has a high sodium level. These are some delicious dishes but people eat this all the time. I’m just saying so please do not take offense.

Farrah Fawcett, the beautiful blonde mostly remembered for her role in the 70′s Charlie’s Angels gave in to her battle with cancer. Her last few months alive were televised giving the public access to see her fade away each day. She was another great entertainer lost. Below is the statement released by CNN of her tragic death.

Farrah Fawcett, the blonde-maned actress whose best-selling poster and “Charlie’s Angels” stardom made her one of the most famous faces in the world, died Thursday. She was 62. Fawcett’s death was confirmed by Paul Bloch, one of her representatives at Rogers and Cowan, an entertainment public relations firm. Fawcett, who checked into a hospital in early April, had been battling anal cancer on and off for three years. Bloch told CNN that Ryan O’Neal, Fawcett’s romantic partner since the mid-1980s, and her friend Alana Stewart were with Fawcett at Saint John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, California, when she died. “Although this is an extremely difficult time for her family and friends, we take comfort in the beautiful times that we shared with Farrah over the years and the knowledge that her life brought joy to so many people around the world,” O’Neal said in a written statement.

In equally tragic but most shocking news yesterday, Michael Jackson, the eccentric King of Pop, passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest. News outlets were going insane as the television audience were behind the internet audience. TMZ.com was the first to break the news of his passing whilst television networks were still reporting that he was only being hospitalized. Then LA Times and CBS News were the first sources besides the internet to confirm the news.

This news was extremely sad because the media never gave Michael a chance. The majority of people painted him with one stroke. Names were thrown and people just thought he was disgusting. No one could understand what he went through becuase no one ever lived his life. One thing is for sure it will be quite awhile before another incomparable icon sweeps the world by storm.
