• J. Lo’s ‘LOVE?’ Is Almost Here. Listen To “(What Is) LOVE?”

  It was September of 2009 when Jennifer Lopez first announced her LOVE? album, along with the release of the buzz track, “Fresh Out The Oven,” featuring Pitbull. Fast forward a year and some and J. Lo is now being labelled the “comeback queen.”

  Lopez’s stint as an American Idol judge was the right move. The exposure along with the heat of “On The Floor,” featuring Pitbull pushed the single to #5 on the Billboard Hot 100.   The fire was reignited in J Lo’s Pop career with her hit song, “On the Floor.” The original triple threat is pushing forward with her LOVE? album release with the promo release of “I’m Into You” featuring Lil Wayne.

  The gorgeous Lopez is bringing a blend of urban and exotic in the Stargate-produced. Weezy opens with one of his verses… Overall, we’re feeling this song and this new album is shaping up to be a real comeback.

• Jennifer Lopez’s New Single Premiered On Eve Of American Idol Premiere

  Tonight is a big night for Jennifer Lopez. The original triple threat is making her televised debut as one of the new judges on the latest season of American Idol. Yesterday, she premiered the first official single from Love? on Ryan Seacrest‘s radio show. The song is titled “On the Floor” and features Pitbull.

  Can we talk about how pretty the lady looks on the single cover… The single was produced by RedOne and it’s obvious it was. With a heavy “Lambada” sample, Pitbull does his usual style of rapping making it sound like something right off Rebelution.

  If you’re in the club put your glass down and get ready to move because certain clubs WILL embrace this song and play the hell out of it. As for Billboard status, that’s a big question mark. Even though Jennifer Lopez is going to heaven and back with promo, her appeal as a Pop artist, at least in USA, is not so much fire. But expect to see her take the stage on Idol.

• Bahamians: Raquel Oliver Covers Bob Marley & NCity Remixes Iyaz

  Raquel Oliver turns the tempo down as she puts her own twist on the classic Bob Marley “Waiting In Vain” for a single entitled “Love.” The song borrows Marley’s vocals which adds chemistry and makes for a pretty smooth jam. Get this, the song has reached #27 on the singles chart in the UK, not bad at all.

  Next up, is Pop/Urban duo NCity adding some verses to the radio hit “Replay,” performed by Iyaz. Both ladies add some great flavor to the song and do not sound out of place in the least bit. In fact, they fit the song well enough that this could be sent out for distribution as the original remix.

  Somebody is about to get fired! Jennifer Lopez’s first single, “Louboutins,” from her upcoming album, Love?, was to be premiered in a performance at this Sunday’s American Music Awards but whoops, it was leaked. The first single is produced by Tricky Stewert & The-Dream and recently, Ms. Lopez sat down with DJ Skee and spoke about the single’s meaning:

  It’s basically about when you get to a point and you’re thinking you’re in a bad relationship and say damn I have to leave; it’s not good for me type thing… This song is when you actually make the decision…

  But it’s not the girl who’s like, “I’m gonna take my stuff, I’m gonna put on my sweatpants, I’m gonna cry and my girlfriends are gonna pick me up and we’re gonna go eat ice cream;” it’s not that girl. This girl is like putting on her hottest dress and her sexiest Louboutin shoes and leaving your ass, like I’m out. [SOURCE]

  On first listen, we do not feel this is living up to the potential of a comeback single that will go to #1. This was Brandy’s song before she split with her label and then they gave it to Lopez. After knowing this; this song does fit Lopez better. However, this song is definitely a grower. With a video and maybe the performance this Sunday we’ll have a change of thought.
