Last year, 2010, Ke$ha released the surplus of an album to Animal entitled Cannibal. Ke$ha stepped outside of her Dance-Pop sound for three minutes and twenty six seconds and what a good time that was. It was producer Bangladesh and artist Andre 3000 who helped to deliver the super great “Sleazy.” Now, a little over a year, someone in Ke$ha’s camp realized how great this song is and decided to release this. But instead of releasing the original track the current version has been chalked up with new verses from your favorite rappers.
T.I., Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa and of course Andre 3000 hop on the remix of the urban bass banga. Not that it needed the assistance but we’re sure these features will give the single a whole new life and give it a push on the charts. Plus, this has reignited the interest in Ke$ha just in time for her sophomore, due in Spring of 2012. Oh, check T.I.’s flow…

In this week’s Billboard Hot 100, Adele makes a return to #1 with her second US single, “Someone Like You,” jumping atop the charts. After a nearly-as-stunning rendition, at the VMA’s, as her Brits performance the single travels from #19 to #1. It also moved from #11-#1 on Digital Songs and #42-#19 on Radio Songs.
The blessings continue to pour on Adele’s sophomore era as the album is still selling strong worldwide. Grammys 2012 will surely be a great night for the Brit.

Sketch Carey has The Bahamian blogosphere abuzz right now with his cover of Lil Wayne’s “How To Love.” The overall reaction is more than positive and we cannot disagree. However there is a general statement about Sketch’s cover winning over Wayne’s original. The statement is unneccesary because you’re taking a song from someone who is not a singer and giving it to some who can.
“How To Love” really seems to be an early favorite and will most likely be put on Bahamian radio. Sketch is one of the very small handful of Bahamian artists to show signs of making it in the US market. Listen to the already-popular cover below.

Weezy finally drops the video for his single, “6 Foot 7 Foot,” featuring Cory Gunz. The video is heavily inspired by Chris Nolan’s Inception.
Remember back in 2009 when Kelly Rowland showed signs of being a major Pop force within the music industry? Well a handful of pushbacks and generic releases later, Rowland is still pushing for a new album release. She’s taking a backflip to her urban sound by enlisting Lil Wayne and producer Jim Jonsin for the supposed first single, “Motivation.”
Maybe Rowland did get the right motivation ’cause the song is not half bad. It’s a nice midtempo track that is worthy of multiple listens but certainly is nothing to be a Billboard Hot 100 top 10 contender.
Nicki Minaj is official Platinum status, as far as album sales go for Pink Friday. Something was missing from that album, what was it? It was a guest feature from Lil Wayne. There were plans to quickly get Minaj and Wayne into the studio together but time did not permit. So now Wayne is jumping on “Roman’s Revenge” for remix: 2.0.

Well ya boy Lil Wayne been “away” for a good part of the year and now that’s he has returned he is wasting no time with the release of Tha Carter IV. News broke last week that Wayne was releasing the first single from the project before 2010′s end. Well, the word was kept and Weezy’s new single is here.
The first single is entitled “6 Foot 7 Foot” and was described as “A Milli” on steroids. That’s a fair comparison as Bangladesh is back, once again, to set things off for Wayne. You know if Bangladesh is behind track then the song is packing some major bass. “6 Foot 7 Foot” also features new Young Money signee Cory Gunz and samples a line from Harry Belafonte’s “Day O (Banana Boat Song).” It’s Lil Wayne doing what he’s known for, nothing more and nothing less. The fans are going to have this in constant rotation.

I guess you can call Lil Wayne’s time away from society as his resting period because the popular rapper is about to make moves, which includes the release of Tha Carter IV. The Young Money family intend on releasing the single very soon:
According to Young Money boss Mack Maine, Wayne is set to release the first single from his forthcoming Tha Carter IV LP by the end of December, simply titled “6’7″.”
“We definitely dropping it before the end of the year,” Mack revealed to MTV News. “We ready to go now; we getting it mixed.” [SOURCE]
The single is said to be “A Milli” on steroids and will feature Cory Gunz. Whilst Tha Carter IV is ready for take off, it’s still a work in progress. Wonder if Wayne will do the same numbers, opening week, this time around.
