  Last week when we interviewed Steph Jones he was in Atlanta for various reasons. One of the events he was in ATL; the release party for his Lifetape.   Singer, songwriter, model and overall visual artist, Steph Jones, is probably one of the humblest and most grounded person in the business that you will ever meet. Upon answering the phone, we were greeted by his manager and then immediately transferred to him. Right off the bat he was cracking jokes and making the whole vibe of the interview less tense and more chilled.

  We discussed everything from his background to his music to his highly criticized Halloween costume and everything else in between; including how he deals with all the rumors of… After spending about a half hour conversing with Jones it was clear that being in the business has not jaded him in anyway. • Steph Jones Lifts Us Up With ‘Gravity’

  Last week on the 13th, singer Steph Jones released his mixtape lifetape entitled Gravity. We finally were able to sit down and give it a proper listen from beginning to end and what a splash of cold water to the face it was; so refreshing.

  Jones takes on music with his own unique style and creative viewpoint and him not being signed to major label is a blessing because he can make the music without any prohibitions. He writes and co-writes all of his music so you know you’re listening to something genuine. Here’s how he put it:

  If yall are looking for me to just do R&B you will be disappointed. I love music so I create whatever I feel like. My lifetape “GRAVITY” will have soul, r&b, alternative pop, and even a lil rap talk on it.. One things 4 sure..if I make a difference in one persons life then I have done my job..

  So there you have it, a real artist whose not afraid to step outside the box. There are many words we could use to describe the lifetape but here are four that resonate; SOULFUL, RETRO, FUTURISTIC and QUIRKY. Give this ‘tape a listen right away.
