• Travie McCoy Says “We’ll Be Alright”

  Travie McCoy takes us back to the mid 90′s as he samples Supergrass’ “Alright” for a new song entitled “We’ll Be Alright,” set to appear on his Lazarus album.

  It’s hilarious that he sampled this song because it was very catchy back then and seemed like such a Cali/Valley type of song which seems opposite of McCoy, at times. It also seems that McCoy is going in a fun and upbeat direction for the album which is always a good sign. It’s the summer and who wants to listen to an album full of melancholy vibes. “We are young, we run free and we listen, to Travie,” woohoo, y’all better listen to this song.

  The official album art of Gym Class Heroes frontman, Travie McCoy, has hit the net. the solo debut  under the title of Lazarus will hit music outlets on June 8, 2010:

  Lazarus is set to drop on June 8th and will feature production from T-Pain, the Smeezingtons (B.o.B, Sugababes), Detail (Akon, Lady Gaga), the Stereotypes (Danity Kane, Melanie Fiona), Evan “Kidd” Bogart (Adam Lambert, Beyonce), and Josh Abraham (Velvet Revolver, 30 Seconds To Mars) & Oligee (Flo Rida, Leighton Meester). • JAMMIN’! Travie McCoy “Billionaire” feat. Bruno Mars

  Gym Class Heroes frontman Travis Travie McCoy has gone solo for the time being with a new single, “Billionaire,” featuring Bruno Mars. The single is from McCoy’s solo debut, Lazarus, which will hit music outlets on June 8, 2010.

  Mars did a great job on the hook for B.o.B.’s “Nothin’ On You” but he absolutely claimed this song. With the combination of the organic/tropical live instrumentation and Mars’ vocals he gives off a slight, dare we say it, Jason Mraz flow. Alright, don’t slaughter us for saying that because we mean it in the nicest way. This song has McCoy written all over it and this is such a great song and we  now look forward to his album.
