It’s been so long that we first saw that in-studio footage of Jah Cure and Keri Hilson creating “World Cry” that we really forgot about it. Well Cure’s album of the same title, World Cry, will finally see the light in June.

This song is absolute glory. MDMA’s & Hilson’s assistance is holy, so uplifting. When it comes to J. Culture music, it gets no better than Cure or Gyptian. this song is on repeat! Download the song HERE.

The Bahamas’ capital has been pretty hot with holiday parties and last night imported Keri Hilson for a birthday party at Club Luna. If you did not get to spot Hilson don’t feel too bad as she will be here for the next week vacationing with friends and family. So you might see her in Aura, you might see her in on a Family Island.

 

Keri Hilson’s sophomore effort, No Boys Allowed, splattered all over the net last night. The album, due in stores on December 21, is now up for listen. The No Boys Allowed era has received heavy promotion which should at least guarantee Hilson some decentopening week sales.

Well anyway, despite Hilson’s image change and annoying feminist album title of No Boys Allowed, the album really has some nice tunes on there. One of them is “Bahm Bahm (Do It Once Again I Want You).” Here, in The Bahamas, we embrace Keri Hilson as one of us; she’s made several trips to our nation, embraced our culture and stated numerous times how she likes the way we speak. In The Bahamian dialect there is a term “Bam Bam Bam” used… It seems that Hilson has borrowed that for her island flavored tune. The song has rhythm and flow and even switches from Reggae to R&B in the end. Take a listen.

Another highlight from N.B.A. is track number nine, “Beautiful Mistake.” This song is that midtempo/electroR&B that made Keri H. so appealing in the beginning. Her voice is as pretty as ever and the melody of the song complements that. Take a listen to the addictive cut below.

Yes YeS YES! Seems like we’ve been waiting a year for this to leak in full even though we just heard the snippet yesterday. Yup, Nelly’s 5.0 just leaked and we can now share the full version of “Liv Tonight.” The song which follows the hi-energy Dance/Pop music that’s BEEN sweeping clubs and radio features the off-and-on Keri Hilson.

The song which borrows the name for the world’s #2 nightclub in the world, SEE HERE, is pretty massive. Not massive in the sense that it’s going to be a song to remember but massive in the sense that it will elevate your spirits for that moment. We just want to head out to a nightclub right now and feed of the lights and energy the bass brings. We just wanna LIV TONIGHT away… Uggh just love the international vibe this song is giving off.

Finally, the one song we were hyped from Ke$ha’s Cannibal release is here. Yup, the Bangladesh-produced “Sleazy” made its way to Australian iTunes.

Kanye West is doing his best to keep up with G.O.O.D. Friday and this morning he released the latest track from the weekly music event. The latest, entitled “Take One For the Team” features Pusha T, Cyhi Da Prince & Keri Hilson.

An opinion that is greatly shared is that Keri Hilson is already suffering the dreaded sophomore slump her album’s, No Boys Allowed, release. With “Breaking Point” and “Pretty Girl Rock” being dubbed as “so bad, it’s good” it doesn’t even make sense how these mistakes are being made so quickly.

Well, Far East Movement’s debut album, Free Wired, is to be released on October 12 and the group  enlisted Keri Hilson as a feature. The synth and bass-heavy “Don’t Look Now” highlights Hilson instead of smudging her appeal. With F.E.M’s “Like a G6” burning up various charts and club speakers this song may be another hit for them.

Keri Hilson’s sophomore LP was supposed to be out from May but pushbacks and delays are all too common for musical acts today. Well about 3 months later, the first single, “Breaking Point,” from Hilson’s sophomore effort, No Boys Allowed, is here:

“Breaking Point” was written by Keri Hilson and produced by superproducer Timbaland. “ No Boys Allowed” is slated for a Late 2010 release and a video for the song will be shot in Atlanta early September. The song is about that breaking point that every woman gets to when the excuses given by boys are no longer accepted.Keri comments “ If you’re not man enough to step to the plate, then keep it moving”.

Well for one, Hilson’s new look is scary and secondly the single is decent. The single should do well; for those ladies who need a song to speak up for them. Hilson’s vocals are pretty as usual and it’s a splash in the face to see her go after a soulful sound rather than the Dance/Pop.

The video features cameos by Jill Marie Jones and Lance Gross. There’s not much to the video; it’s light on creativity and storyline much like the song. There are nice scenes of Keri Hilson looking oh too beautiful and T.I. looking dapper with that swag.

If we were still going by first reports, then Keri Hilson’s sophomore studio album should have been released this past week. It’s not a surprise after the handful of pushbacks her debut received. The good news is that her second is still moving forth to at least be released this year. In the latest bit of information, John Legend will join the list of contributors of this album, he tweeted:

Keri Hilson and John Legend together will make for a rather warm and cool ballad. The hype behind this upcoming album seems very limited but there probably will not be any shortage of great music when it drops. Timbaland, Dr. Dre,  Maxwell, Danja, Boi-1da, Jeff Bhasker, and more are all planned for this album’s production. Thanks Jimmie!

In the video, Keri Hilson plays the role of Trey’s wife. Hilson departs, leaving Trey to care for their daughter as she is deployed to defend her country in the Army. Unfortunately, this video has no happy ending as you will experience after viewing it.

This video was laid out very well and it’s quite the opposite of the usual sex romp from him. Check out the video below for the “Purple Rain” cloned song.

A little earlier, T.I.’s new single from King Uncaged, “Got Your Back,” featuring fellow ATLien, Keri Hilson, hit the net. The single was produced by DJ Toomp and will hit radio airwaves very soon.

After all the chatter that King Uncaged will return to a more urban and aggressive sound of T.I.’s earlier music days, this single antagonizes all of that. “Got Your Back” is quite light and is more Hip-Pop than Hip-Hop. Then there’s the addition of Hilson’s repetitive hook that stays with u more than T.I.’s lyrics after the song comes to an end. With that being stated, when this song comes on the radio, it will be blasted but as far as comin’ hard it’s not what was mentioned.

And if a radio-friendly collaboration with Keri Hilson couldn’t be less-than-aggressive enough, it’s been announced that the “King of the South” is teaming up with Lady GaGa for this new album of his. Lady GaGa of all people and production by RedOne, this must be the twilight zone. I guess it’s really true what they say, there is no such thing as genres anymore in mainstream music, everything is blurred into one:

“Phenomenal talent. Extremely proud [to work with her]. She’s definitely that good. She knows what she’s doing. She knows exactly what she wants people to think and say. She does everything that she needs to be done to ensure it happens. I think she’s an entertainer, in all aspects of the word,” he said of working with the “Telephone” singer on the RedOne production. “She’s a classic, all-around entertainer. A global star.”

He even hinted at the prospect of more pairings between the two. “We gonna go back in and record some more songs,” he revealed. “But the one we have right now is entitled ‘Lick It.’ I think we both have a tendency to shock the world in a lot of different ways.”

Boy, who tell you to say that… But all has not changed as Eminem is scheduled to drop a verse or two on the album as well:

“It’s in the making,” Tip shared. “It just hasn’t been recorded yet. The song has been picked out and it’s been agreed for us to do it. We’re thinking a song that can definitely make its way to the club.” [SOURCE]

If that’s not enough, T.I. will collaborate with The-Dream for what will seem like the millionth time in a song entitled “Show Me Your Tears.” That guy, Trey Songz, will also accompany a song entitled “Strip,” how shocking.

Chad Hugo of N*E*R*D is stepping out more and doing his solo thing with producing. Hugo lends a production hand to this latest Keri Hilson leak entitled “Black Cloud.”

The song is very much Neptunes but in a way that’s a bit more cartoonish. There is also a bit of funk and soul mixed into the beat. Vocally and lyrically, Hilson is not doing anything new or special but it is a change to hear her sing over this sort of instrumental. We wonder what her new album will sound like?

The very easy-on-the-eyes Keri Hilson has been chosen as the new face of cosmetics giant, Avon. The singer/songwriter was seen as the obvious choice following Jennifer Hudson:

“We had a great partnership with Jennifer Hudson, and we found that so powerful that, in the same spirit, we wanted to take it a step further. Keri just brings a youth and vitality to our brand. I think that she’s just the perfect transition.”

Here’s what Hilson’s official statement to go along with the beauty brand:

“I’m really careful. I don’t want to be affiliated with too many brands. It’s got to make sense, and it makes sense [with Avon.] I love fragrance. I love beauty. I love to teach women that they should feel confident and feel good about themselves for themselves.”

With Keri Hilson’s sophomore studio album set to be released in a few short months we’re going to be hearing more sounds from the Bahamian-friendly singer/songwriter. Songwriters The Clutch and producer Polow Da Don are behind this new leak of Hilson’s entitled “Green Light.”

This is definitely an unfamiliar sound from Hilson. We had to wait until we heard vocals to really know this was her because this is not related to “I Like” in anyway. It’s something to get used to, or maybe not but most things Keri do we like.

The video was directed by Gil Green and is moreso just a group of fun polished visuals. The video is a decent watch, to say the most. Trina’s Amazin’ will be in stores May 4.

We love the song, although it is a bit more pop than anything African and the use of colors give this video life. Not to mention, everyone just seems to be having a great time.

We still can’t over how people threw stones at Keri Hilson at last year’s American Music Awards when she decided to uncover her forehead. Oh well, no one can say anything because this woman is beyond beautiful.

Like we said before, only Kelis can go the electronic/dance route and still make it sound fresh and new. We’re not going to spoil it for ourselves but rather just hold off until the album preview becomes available.

From one R&B lady to another, Keri Hilson unlike Kelis is not waiting four years as she is set to release her sophomore album about a year after her debut.

Aiming for the Memorial Day holiday as a target release date, Interscope urban music head DJ Mormile promises that the three guiding lights behind Hilson’s first album-Timbaland, Polow Da Don and Danjahandz-are back on board… who also notes that West, Will.i.am and emerging songwriter/producer Jeff Bhasker will also be involved. And signs are pointing to fellow newcomer Drake being a featured guest as well. “We’re just getting into this,” says Mormile, who hopes to have a first single out in March, if not sooner. “But we already have an idea of what we want to do. This album will continue the evolution of Keri, building off the hits ‘Knock You Down’ and ‘Turning Me On,’ which helped define her. By the time In a Perfect World… was released everyone has the music because it leaked ages before. Besides the fact that the music was good, it was tired. So releasing a new album sooner than later is better in Hilson’s situation. Timbaland better bring the midas touch because he has drained himself; not one song he has produced as of late could make the Billboard Hot 100 chart bow down to him anymore.

Mega beauty, Keri Kilson, covers JET magazine and has a new leak. The song is entitled “Ready to Fall” and features Ne-Yo with production from Polow Da Don.

The tempo of the song is very slow and has an overall mellow flow to it. Ne-Yo’s “Oh’s” and “Wo’s” set the song off right. We have no idea where the song is from or what its future use will be; it will be a better album track than a single.
