Between Beyoncé, Lady GaGa and Rihanna we do not know which one is criticized more for supposedly copying the style of lesser known artists. Which is hilarious as those three females are the most popular in pop music right now, at least to the younger crowd. Lady GaGa, not too long ago, was constantly said to rip-off the style of Róisín Murphy. Now another collage of images has surfaced showing evidence that there may be another artist that is a victim of the supposed “swagga jackin’”: Kelis.
This is funny because no matter what there will be comparisons. So let us get this right; Rihanna likes to copy Fefe Dobson and Kelis, Lady GaGa copies Róisín Murphy and now Kelis, Ke$ha copies Uffie and Beyoncé plays it smart by stealing borrowing small bits from all over the map.
To be honest, yes the evidence is there, and even the Róisín Murphy comparisons are uncanny but it’s not the artists, blame the stylists. GaGa seems to play the big part in her image, a BIG part, but she is probably so busy that she has people who know exactly what she wants and do their best to find it. Also, these stylists seem to flock to the same designers who themselves seem to be borrowing pages from each others’ books. Thanks to baMbus3000 for the image.
In other news, more images from the “Telephone” video have surfaced. The video looks to be MASSIVE. Also, there is serious talk that Lady GaGa will be putting on a special show of her The Monster Ball tour to be shot in 3D for a future DVD release. No further details have been released.
