Mainstream’s current lover, Katy Perry, is exactly one week away from releasing her sophomore studio album, Teenage Dream. With her first single, “California Gurls,” sitting pretty at #4 on the Hot 100 and her second, “Teenage Dream,” cracking the top 10 at #9, this new album of hers is looking to be a huge top seller. Today, the last promo track from iTunes is here, this one is entitled “E.T.”

“E.T.” was one of the first demos to leak from this album and after a little polishing it definitely beams. The song has a rock-stadium chanting vibe: vaguely similar to the classic “We Will Rock You” except much more Pop. With all this success Perry is experiencing thus far, she may be able to stretch this album for about 1.5 to 2 years and release this as a single.

Yesterday, the video release of Katy Perry’s second single, “Teenage Dream,” premiered. The video which featured Perry’s actual friends was shot in Santa Barbara, California.

Katy Perry does a 180 with this video; where “California Gurls” was about fantasy this video plays more on realism. The video revolves around a road trip that Perry takes with her new boyfriend. Along the way, all the good of a brand new relationship is displayed: happiness, sex, etc… It really is a feel-good kinda video and Katy Perry, she is really on a roll.

Katy Perry Is On a Roll With “Circle the Drain”

Another week has greeted us which means another track off of Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream has been released via iTunes. In the Christopher “Tricky” Stewart produced “Circle the Drain,” Katy Perry has completely left behind her happy-go-lucky nature. After hearing her dedicate her song “Ur So Gay” to her ex, Travie McCoy, during her concert in The Bahamas she has gone ahead and created an entire song, bashing him.

With an Explicit Content stamp on the single cover, Perry is slinging the F bomb around like never before. The song itself is given an edge due to the use of profanity but strip it away and you have yourself a made for radio hit with its wide appeal to the US market. Teenage Dream is quickly and easily becoming a new peak for Ms. Perry and we can’t even begin to imagine how she will fair on album number three. Katy Perry Is “Not Like the Movies”

The whirlwind of promotion for Katy Perry’s sophomore album, Teenage Dream, is in overdrive and there’s just no stopping this evolving Pop star this time around. As part of Teenage Dream’s promo plan another cut from the album was released via iTunes. The song is entitled “Not Like the Movies” and is produced by Greg Wells.

Katy Perry kicked things off with the fun and carefree “California Gurls,” then went a bit more Pop/Rock with second single “Teenage Dream” and then went fresh wanting to see some guy’s “Peacock.” With “Not Like the Movies” we hear a return to Perry’s vocal talents as displayed in such songs from her debut like “Thinking of You.”

Boi eh, everything released from this album is sounding so good and has made us Katy Perry fans despite her first album being quite the solid collection of music. There must be a team of scientists and top notch marketers behind this album because it seems they are hitting every avenue to make the album debut with soaring sales’ figures. One thing is for sure, there will be no sophomore slump for Miss Perry.

Katy Perry Sings Her “Teenage Dream”

The title track from Katy Perry’s sophomore album, Teenage Dream, and second single from the album leaked yesterday. As “California Gurls” left the Billboard Hot 100, “Teenage Dream” was right there to begin to take its place.

We’ve listened to the song just enough to say it is a neat little Pop tune. It doesn’t infect you right away as “California Gurls” did but it definitely has the potential to take advantage of radio and stay in rotation for a long period of time. Whatever team Perry is doing, they’re doing a mighty fine job at it. Teenage Dream, in stores on August 24.

NOTE: That’s why it took a few listens to get into this song, she does not sound like herself. She sounds a bit like Kelly Clarkson.

Today, Katy Perry unveiled the official album art and single art for Teenage Dream.

The album art is so appealing, inspired by the artist’s paintings who was behind the design of the “California Gurls” music video. She looks sensual, classy and like a whipped up bowl of fun. The absence of text on the cover really makes it that more attractive

The single art on the other hand, is very much a contrast from the beautiful album cover. The cover is much closer to that of “California Gurls”: The bright colors are overwhelming and looks like someone vomited a rainbow popsicle. Whilst the single may be great that cover makes it seem like it will sound like a song made for 10 year old girls. View the single cover after…

Exclusive: Katy Perry, Live, From Atlantis + New Song From ‘Teenage Dream’

Last night, Katy Perry, took to the stage for a concert as part of the Atlantis resort’s Live! concert series here, in The Bahamas.

Perry kicked off her 10 song set with her hits “Hot N Cold” and “I Kissed a Girl” on a colorful stage set adorned with summery and tropical themed stage props like the coconut trees. Before Perry went into her third song, “You’re So Gay,” she dropped a few lines that made it seem that she dedicated the song to ex boyfriend Travie McCoy. She continued on with a few album cuts, a cover of The Outfields’ “I Don’t Wanna Lose Your Love Tonight,” performing her radio hit “Waking Up In Vegas” etc… She treated the crowd with a song entitled “Peacock” which will appear on her upcoming sophomore LP, Teenage Dream. The set ended on an upbeat note with the spunky performer singing her #1 hit, “California Gurls” with loads of giant beach balls being tossed everywhere.

The concert was energetic, Perry interacted with the audience and she did a great job making the show flow as one. The ballroom was filled with tweens to folks well above middle age and the expressions on all their faces seem to be one of enjoyment. Last night was an experience to remember.

Oh yes, after the concert we headed into Club Aura where Perry & co. partied it up in VIP with another person who’s been in the headlines as of late, Lebron James. It was just an epic night all around. View the gallery and listen to her perform “Peacock” after…

The night is finally upon us. The “California Gurl” herself, Katy Perry, will be taking to the Grand Ballroom inside the Atlantis resort, tonight at 9:30pm for a special concert as part of the Atlantis Live! series. If you’re still want tickets call the Box Office, (242) 363-6601.

Doors open at 8:30pm and oh yea, C.S. will be there, we’ll be in Section I so if you happen to recognize one of us don’t be shy, just say Hi. We gotta feeling, that tonight’s gonna be a good night…

Über fun girl, Katy Perry, takes us on a visual tour of Candyfornia in the Mathew Cullen-directed video for “California Gurls” featuring Snoop Dogg. This the video for the debut#1 single lifted from Katy Perry’s sophomore album, Teenage Dream.

The video is all kinds of sexual sweet and happy-go-lucky carefree type of entertainment. Candyfornia is directly inspired by the famous board game Candyland as well as being inspired a little by the Wizrd of Oz. There’s always that subtle adult twist with the naughty gummi bears giving Perry the finger, haha cute. Katy Perry nude is goldenly delicious and think of Snoop as Papa Oz. There was also something extremely appealing about Perry walking barefeet n daisy dukes in the sand but the climax of the video was the cans of whipped cream attached to Katy’s breasts to destroy the army of gummi bears, priceless.
