A minimalistic approach is taken in the video for Janet Jackson’s “Nothing,” the theme from Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married Too?. The Tim Palen video displays a very fashionable Jackson singing with accompanying mirrored images. Also, clips from the movie are edited in as with all soundtrack movie videos. Wow, we had no idea Perry turned Jackson’s character into a complete emotional wreck for the sequel.
Pop icon, Janet Jackson, recently shot the music video for the soundtrack single of Tyler Perry’s “Why Did I Get Married Too?” Jermaine Dupri gives us all an inside look before the finished product hits screens all over.
Can’t help it but we just want to squeeze Janet Jackson’s cheeks, she is too cute. The thing is she doesn’t come off like an immature idiot, it just suits her personality so well.
Anyway, which one of you lucky buggas will be going to see the “Why Did I Get Married Too?” premiere this Monday, March 29, at the Atlantis resort here in The Bahamas?

Miss Jackson if ya nasty… Yup, Darkchild and Janet turn up the heat with the taste of potential of what’s to come from Jackson’s eleventh studio album. The song also features Machel Montano and Rock City.
We absolutely love this song. It’s upbeat, makes us want to get up and move and guess what it isn’t electro or dance. We love those genres but what a breath of fresh air those hard hitting tribal beats are against the blur of all things electro in mainstream music today. We are really looking forward to this new album now.

Janet Jackson – Heartbeat Love feat. Pitbull, Machel Montano & Rock City
The gent who scored a #2 single with “Replay” on the Billboard Hot 100 in ’09, Iyaz, has a new tune. The latest song to leak from the singer is entitled “Solo” and samples Janet Jackson’s “Again.” It has not been confirmed whether or not this is just another song or if it will be the next single.
Before we start, J Jackson’s “Again” and “Everytime” go down as two of some of the sweetest melodies in a ballad in our books. In the case with Iyaz, we like the melody so much that it is actually a pleasure to hear “Again” sampled to help a new singer along. Without the sample the song is not much at all but with it, it’s pretty decent.

The video for Janet Jackson’s “Make Me” premiered earlier tonight on ABC’s 20/20 (How are they getting all these exclusives?). In the video Janet sports some full body costumes backed by some dancers and some special effects.
Wow this lady looks good for her age. It’s amazing how she may be criticized for being overweight but when the time calls for work she reforms to her slimmer self. The choreography was pretty good and on point. The black and white could be compared to a lower budget “Scream,” in tribute to her brother. Overall, it’s a decent video for a decent song. We’re ready for the new era of Janet.

Greatest Hits Album
Janet Jackson is releasing another greatest hits album entitled Number Ones on November 17, 2009. The collection will span hits from her past and present and will be a great pick-up for any casual fan or stan.
She recorded a new song for the hits’ collection entitled “Make Me.” The song premiered back in September the day after the MTV VMA‘s. The video for the uptempo gritty electro-rectro track has been shot by Robert Hales and should premiere very soon.
Studio Album
Janet Jackson is back in the studio recording her 11th studio which may end up being her Emancipation of Mimi. Producer Rodney ‘Darkchild’ Jerkins spoke about the album on a few occasions:
“It’s funny, ’cause when we just started the project, she was like, ‘I wanna do 10 dance records, all up-tempo to dance. Let’s just go dance’. The sound is inspired by worldwide influences, from African rhythms to Brazilian and Latin music, and RJ said we can expect features on this album like a Pitbull track that was recorded last week. But she hits me today and she says we need to do some mid-tempos as well. And I’m glad for that because there’s a time when you listen to a record that you wanna mellow out and she always gives us those great smoothed-out mellow records. So now that she’s in that zone, it’s like ‘Yes!’ ’cause we can focus on that. But I’m still gonna keep the beats hard underneath ’cause she’s still a dancer at heart.”
“We’re really playing around and trying to really target her fans. You know old school Janet is what we as fans knew her as, so we’re really trying to target that sound. While still trying to mix it in with something new; be able to touch it to different world types of sound like: Brazilian music, Latin music, you know just different sounds from around the world; there’s one that’s African inspired. Just real high energy for Janet, some soul…it’s a real tight project.”
Discipline is not considered one of Janet’s best but heck we still give that record spins. With the FUNK of “So Much Betta” and the sway of “Rollercoaster” how could you not like that album. Plus the album imagery was hot; all that sleek black. We’re looking forward to this album.
Those of you who watched the Michael Jackson tribute performed by his sister Janet Jackson and several other world-renowned choreographers were most likely blown away. The October 2009 issue of Harper’s Bazaar features a World Exclusive Interview with Janet Jackson. As you can see above she covers both the newsstand and internet subscriber’s issues. In the interview Jackson pulls the zipper down on the topics on most people’s minds from Michael Jackson to her upcoming album.
Work has always been a tonic for Janet. Today she is sitting in a bunkerlike recording studio in Hollywood, writing songs for a new album, due out next spring. Nickelodeon is on the TV (perhaps the only network not doing Michael 24/7), incense is burning, and she is trying to discourage her French bulldog, Bullwinkle, a birthday gift from brother Jermaine, from nibbling at her towering Azzedine Alaïa lizard sandals.
This may come off as highly inappropriate but the passing of her brother seems to be the thing that is going to bring her career into the forefront of the public’s hearts again. Reason being; now that Michael is gone people want the next best Jackson entertainer which is Janet. C’mon, MTV finally is allowing Janet on their stage to perform at the VMA’s and OPENING the show at that all because of her brother.
