• Video Premiere: Katy Perry “Teenage Ecstasy Dream” + Third Single News

  Yesterday, the video release of Katy Perry’s second single, “Teenage Dream,” premiered. The video which featured Perry’s actual friends was shot in Santa Barbara, California.

  Katy Perry does a 180 with this video; where “California Gurls” was about fantasy this video plays more on realism. The video revolves around a road trip that Perry takes with her new boyfriend. Along the way, all the good of a brand new relationship is displayed: happiness, sex, etc… It really is a feel-good kinda video and Katy Perry, she is really on a roll.

• Drake Creates “Fireworks” With Alicia Keys

  Fireworks…

  With a song titled “Fireworks” one can expect a popping, thrilling and overall exciting track but unfortunately that is not the case with this. But despite that, this track will thrive. Drake does a great job with his rhymes and Alicia performs to her usual vocal abilities. The beat, with its strategically placed firework sounds, is smooth with a tendency to make you bob your head. There is nothing to complain about and nothing to jump around about. Its a good track by two great artists.

• Drake Is About To Create “Fireworks” With Alicia Keys On ‘Thank Me Later’ Opener

  Last night Rap-Up was at Drake’s Club Nokia gig. The rapper performed the opening track from Thank Me Later, “Fireworks,” and before getting into the song he briefly announced that Alicia Keys would be featured on the track. We smell an upcoming single.

  This is great news for those who thought they were ripped of from “Unthinkable (I’m Ready)”, y’know, the track that has Drake featured but if you didn’t know any better you would think it’s just Alicia Keys.

• Drake Debuts His Kings of Leon Collaboration, “Fireworks”

  Last night at the opening night of Drake’s Away From Home tour, the rapper debuted the first verse from a track off of Thank Me Later, “Fireworks.” The Noah “40” Shebib produced track actually features the sounds of fireworks and even better, it will feature Kings of Leon. Here’s what Drake told MTV:

  “It truly is a story,” he added of the album. “At no point in the album does it fall off and become about some songs I slapped together. It’s all a story from beginning to end. Just like So Far Gone was. It’s that time.” [SOURCE]

  This album is definitely shaping up to be quality over quantity. June 15 cannot come quick enough.
