Mariah Carey just released her holiday album, Merry Christmas II You, today and accompanying the album’s release is the video for “Oh Santa!,” the first single lifted from the project. The Ethan Lader-directed video takes us back to a 50′s NYC Christmas on a variety show. Carey takes center stage backed by an assorted group of people, watch below.
Electro/Urban group, Far East Movement, shot to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week after 10 weeks on the chart. Yup, that would be their club hit, “Like a G6,” featuring Cataracs and Dev that’s at the top of the charts. A nice achievement for the guys now let’s see if their new album, Free Wired, which is in stores now can produce another #1.
The guys of Far East Movement are not the only ones smiling. Dev, the female featured on the song must be getting some nice royalties for this #1. If you did not know, “Like a G6,” samples Dev’s “Booty Bounce.” Check out the Ethan Lader-directed video for the just-as-fly song below.
Far East Movement released their debut album, Free Wired, this past Tuesday. With “Like a G6″ making moves on the charts and burning up the club scene, they’re delivering yet another 3+ minutes of adrenaline rush, in the form of a song. The Stereotypes-produced “Go Ape” which is a bonus tack, lifted from Free Wired, received some mixin’ with guests Lil Jon and Colette Carr.

An opinion that is greatly shared is that Keri Hilson is already suffering the dreaded sophomore slump her album’s, No Boys Allowed, release. With “Breaking Point” and “Pretty Girl Rock” being dubbed as “so bad, it’s good” it doesn’t even make sense how these mistakes are being made so quickly.
Well, Far East Movement’s debut album, Free Wired, is to be released on October 12 and the group enlisted Keri Hilson as a feature. The synth and bass-heavy “Don’t Look Now” highlights Hilson instead of smudging her appeal. With F.E.M’s “Like a G6” burning up various charts and club speakers this song may be another hit for them.
