It seems like it’s all about the females as the official cover for eLIFE242 Magazine (Edition #20) surfaces.
In the latest issue entitled The Female Factor: The New Face of the Media, Pt. 1, four of The Bahamas’ top female reporters (Ianthia Smith, Sancheska Brown, Nikia Deveaux & Ava Turnquest) tackle the nation’s current issues as well as being a female within the industry… Stay tuned for more.

This past Saturday was the launch party of eLIFE242′s 2010 Swimsuit Edition. The event was tied in with Saturdays In the City hosted at the British Colonial Hilton‘s Bullion Lounge. Many were in attendance and guests got the chance to interact with the swimsuit models including covergirl Ariel Garraway.
We were just as surprised to see the see the finished version of the magazine; everything happened so quickly and it was a great result. After the success of the party and magazine, these next few months should be very exciting. View photos from the launch party after…

Issue 2 of eLIFE242 magazine for 2010 is about to hit Bahamian newsstands tomorrow. This issue’s feature story is Bahamian basketball player Mitchell Johnson. Johnson speaks about being drafted into the NBA’s D-League amongst other things. Also in the new issue are the regular features such as Fashion Police, Digital Girl and The Rundown written by yours truly. Be sure to go and pick up your free copy or copies tomorrow.

On the 13th of February, the eve of Valentine’s Day, eLife 242 will bring Day 44 to us for one special night. The special concert will bring together 4 of The Bahamas’ top male vocalists for a night of fun, music and love.
The concert will feature Sammi Starr, CJ Priest, Julien & Sketch all backed by the Higher Level Band. Also, female Bahamian singer Bodine will be the night’s host as she introduces each of the crooners.
It won’t just stop there, SME Entertainment will be hosting the after-party… enough said.
If you’re looking forward to having a great night you won’t wanna miss this event. Oh, and we forgot, we’ll be there so we’ll be looking forward to meeting a few new faces.

Throughout the last half of ’09 we, C.S., have been contributing a few articles to a Bahamian entertainment magazine entitled eLIFE 242. Our article, “CS Rundown,” is basically what’s hot for the month in music, fashion and movies. The last article we contributed was for the magazine’s twelfth issue. Bahamian entertainment magazine, eLIFE 242, released its online edition yesterday for free to the public. This is issue #5 with cover-guy Dion Da Butcher. Dion has been a DJ here in The Bahamas for many years, everyone knows his name and his stylings fill most of the airwaves. His interview is insightful and gives the reader an inside look at one of the top veteran DJ’s in our many islands.
This issue also is one that C.S. has interest in because it marks our first full page article that we wrote for the magazine. It’s just a fun and great opportunity that we’re greatful to be a apart of.
