  Another month, another fine issue from the STYLEZINE team. With summer and its heat being ever-present, the team over at STYLEZINE have come up with The Bay. The Bay is another take on a swimsuit issue… We briefly attended the mixer (1, 2) this past Saturday where we saw a little of what the issue had to offer. Well now we all can view it in full HERE. • DJ Ampero Presents ‘Dance Above the Influence’

  It’s been awhile since we got some goods from DJ Ampero but no more complaints because the DJ with the eclectic taste recently released a crazy mix. The mix is meant for the Bambu crowd and although we’ve never stepped foot in the club the mix sounds like somethin’ to keep the adrenaline rushing.

  From La Roux to KiD CuDi to Bob Marley and most things in between you can have  a night party all by yourself, if you wanted. There are very few imperfections in the mix that knocks the flow but it’s really nothing serious to distract from the entire experience. Listen to both parts of the mix below.

• DJ Ampero + Dromomania Come Together For an Amazing Mash-Up

  Dj Ampero is at it again, this time working his magic on duo Dromomania’s “Theme” and “Day U Die.” Here’s how Ampero describes the track:

  This is the latest and it’s another, featuring local artists, Dromomania to be exact .
  The beat is a mesh of “We Are The People” – Empire of The Sun and “City of Gods” – Pitbull. The vocals are compiled from “Theme from Dromomania” and “Day U Die” by Dromomania and snippets of Diana Ross’ cover of “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.”

  This mash-up i so subtle and smooth with each track complementing each other’s tempo and flow so perfectly.

• DJ Ampero Releases “Astronaut Candy”

  It’s been a month or so since DJ Ampero hit us with a new mix and here’s how he described the latest:

  This is the track I’ve been polishing… I think I got it to where I’m happy. The breakdown is like this, (for audio i used):

  Intro from ‘Feels Good’ by Tony, Toni, Tone’s
  Intro from ‘Supa Star’ by DJ Premiere
  Beat & audio snippets from ‘Candy’ by Cameo
  Audio snippets from ‘Girls, Girls, Girls (remix)’ by Jay-Z
  Audio snippet from ‘The Turn’ by Method Man
  *Bonus Surprise beat from an ‘obscure Alternative Rock’ band –

  Oh, I called it Astronaut Candy because it made me do an Astronaut walk (slow motion bounce) when i heard the playback and because of the cameo beat

  With each new mix we can hear the evolution of Ampero’s talent. The songs he chose all compliment each other and had us moving all over. The only critique we have to say is the breaks could have been a little less sudden but other than that GREAT STUFF!

• DJ Ampero “Sexy In Tom’s Diner”

  A week later and we have another exclusive from DJ Ampero. This new mash-up/remix is entitled “Sexy in Tom’s Diner” and the vocals are Spragga Benz’s “How You Look Sexy So?,” the beat is Susan Vega’s “Tom’s Diner” with a loop of Juvenile’s “Back That Azz Up.”

  The song gets off to a rough start but progresses into a pretty hot track. In other news, Ampero will be releasing an free of charge LP that will consist of 10 tracks under the title Gallimaufy.

• Exclusive: DJ Ampero “Transform Mi Sensi”

  It was a nice treat to open up our email and see this in there. Bahamian DJ Ampero dropped a little something off, it’s a remix mash-up of Chris Brown’s “Transform Ya” and “Under Mi Sensi” (Mr. Vegas, Alozade, Hollow Point).

  Solid! Now this can be bumped through the speakers in the car to the event you’re going to or at the party itself you’re going to. *Sings “Under Mi Sensi” repeatedly*
