We told you all that we would post as soon as this song leaked in CDQ. The studio version of David Guetta’s “Where Dem Girls At?” featuring Flo Rida & Nicki Minaj hit the net not too long ago. The single is set to appear on Guetta’s upcoming album.

As basic and used as Dance/Pop music is these days, Guetta just whipped a hot one onto us. The melody, the switch-up of the beat, the dizzy bassline and ditty lyrics just make for one catchy song. Between this and “Who’s That Chick?” we domn’t know which is more fun.

So over the weekend Rihanna went from NYC to London as she appeared on Saturday Night Live and then X Factor, the next day. On SNL the singer performed “Only Girl (In the World)” and “What’s My Name.” We may have been away but we still were made aware of the flack Rihanna received for her poor live performance. It is a fact that Rihanna is not a “performer” but her “Only Girl…” performance was just not good, at all. Thankfully, all was not lost as Rihanna appeared in the sequel to her “Shy Ronnie” sketch. This time “Bonnie & Clyde” was the theme dubbed with a ditty tune from Rihanna, heavy on the accent. Watch the videos after…

Rihanna was in recovery mode as she took the X Factor stage to perform “Only Girl (In the World).” The performance was definitely a step up from her SNL performance and paired with an elaborate set, RiRi definitely redeemed herself. Check it below…

Yesterday there was a serious leak in Rihanna’s well oiled machine. The entire song and video leaked of Rihanna’s collaboration with David Guetta entitled “Who’s That Chick.” Guetta teased radio listeners many months ago with the line “Feel the Adrenaline” on a French radio show. Well, Rihanna’s record label addressed the leak immediately:

“It’s a leak,” SRP Tweeted, “Def Jam is pulling it down as fast as possible. The song is not a single – for the clubs only. The album is still being put together — many songs in the mix. Can’t answer for sure if it is on the album.”

Now that it’s been established that “Who’s That Chick” is solely for the clubs, which song is better: this or the radio single “Only Girl (In the World).”

David Guetta has produced so many songs within the past year that he is becoming more and more redundant but we have to admit that this song is where he unleashes the goods. After getting pass the fact that Rihanna is losing every spec of urban in here for the time being, it’s still all worth it. The song is Euro-dance at it best and a fun song like this shows just why Rihanna is a star today. The LOUD video certainly doesn’t take away from the fun nature of the song… We can go on and on, point is, WE LOVE THIS SONG.

We avoided this song for the longest and then last night we just gave in and listened. This song is radio fodder, BUT it’s so good. The video is the usual uninspired club affair but like we just said, the song is good; it’s a perfect uptempo song for the night. Look out for Flo Rida’s next albu, The Only 1, later this year.

A few months ago it was announced that Madonna and producer David Guetta went into the studio to work on the Queen of Pop’s 12th studio album. Well, on March 5, it was reported that the single wasmastered and complete and all ready to go. Here’s what Guetta told Nine MSN:

“That’s done, the single will be out very soon and it’s amazing, I’m very happy.” [SOURCE]

Almost a month later and some of Madonna’s stans over at ileaks.com had the chance to listen to the single, “Boom,” and said this about it:

1. The title speaks it all! It’s explosive.

2. If you think “When Love Takes Over”, “I Gotta Feeling” or “Sexy Bitch” were Guetta’s peak, think twice after hearing this track.

Those few one-liners are not anything solid to go by but it lets us know that single we’ll at least hear the single sooner than later. Another thing, we really hope Guetta does not gives us some over-the-top production like the Paul Oakenfold produced “Celebration.”

We’ve heard him on the hook of B.o.B.’s “Nothin’ On You” and just the other day on Travie McCoy’s “Billionaire” but now Bruno Mars is trying to get his own shine on in a new David Guetta produced track entitled “World Goes On.”

The guy has a voice as anyone who can hear properly should be able to tell. The production is your typical Guetta affair but it works. Hopefully Mars career takes off because he works and shines as a hook singer but singing whole sings may not attract as many people.

SONG REMOVED DUE TO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT

Elderkin definitely lends his artistic vision to Estelle with this fashion drenched futuristic clip. There are tons of effects in the video and it’s a bit amazing how all that was transformed from a bunch of green screens. It’s a change from Estelle’s more soulful style but it’s an evolution, even if more into the trendy realm.

OHHHHHHHHHH my! Let’s get straight into this. David Guetta has produced a FUNKY dancefloor/club hit for Estelle. “Freak” features Kardinal Offishall and is the first single lifted from her third studio album All of Me. Estelle previewed her less soulful, more pop sound when she did the theme song for the Crystal Light commercial last year and this is another step towards that direction.

The song sample’s Soul II Soul’s “Back To Life (However Do You Want Me)” and wow o wow all this energy and electro-dance funk is hittin’ all the right nerves. I think it’s safe to say, without getting a slap, that David Guetta is the top, near to being the top producer of the electro phase in mainstream music. With all the speculation that Rihanna is set to do a “Rih-release” of her current album, Rated R, three sources have  now reported that Rih’s studio sessions with David Guetta and Ne-Yo are in fact for a new album set for a Summer 2010 release. Rihanna spoke to MTV last week, whilst in Asia, that her next album will be “energetic, up-tempo pop records.” Apparently Rihanna

While the source at Def Jam tells Ikon the quick push to release a new album is because “Ri wants to get across that she’s moved on from the dark period she was in when recording the ‘Rated R’ songs,” our source says that’s only part of the reason. The label is said to be unhappy with Rated R’s current performance. The album has been certified platinum in the United States and has had two top 10 singles with another, the snappy island-flavored “Rude Boy,” moving up the charts quickly, but it appears it hasn’t yet lived up to the label’s big projections or massive investments.

Our source says “Rude Boy” will likely be Rated R’s final single with the new album and tour taking priority after promotion ends.

Asked about what we should expect from Rihanna’s new album, my insider continued: “Ri wants to get across that she’s moved on from the dark period she was in when recording the ‘Rated R’ songs. So expect more upbeat, dance tunes, similar to ‘Don’t Stop the Music’ and ‘Disturbia’. [SOURCE 1] [SOURCE 2] [SOURCE 3]

If you’re thinking to yourself, “Didn’t she just release an album a few months ago?”, just remember that she was the one who released her first three albums in just 2 years. It’s obvious that the record label could be much happier with Rihanna’s sales and want to drive her back to #1 ASAP.

For awhile now we’ve been waiting for the new chapter of Kelis’ music and today is that day. She returned to Twitter to tell us her fifth studio album is almost completed. The first single “Acapella,” was produced by DJ David Guetta. In addition to Guetta, the album will feature productions by Burnz, DJ Ammo, Boys Noize, Diplo & Switch, and Free School. Here is what she stated on her site:

Well, walking through the streets of NY this summer…I use the term walking loosely…I was extremely pregnant and probably doing more of a very slow creep down each humid sticky block…people had so much to say to me. You know us New Yorkers don’t ever keep anything to ourselves…I was asked if I would ever put another album out. I suppose people assumed after the baby and divorce and all the time I took off (went to culinary school during my break which was amazing and another conversation) that it would be on to motherhood for me. And well that’s true…as I lay here with my perfect little won ton now writing you all this message. My answer was always the same. “Soon come guys” and so here we are. My album is pretty much done. I signed a new deal and I’m madly in love with life and ready to share something with you. My song is called “Acapella” and I wrote it with love and life in mind. I hope that it finds you well and that you love it, cause honestly I do! Muah!”

This song is going to have the clubs going crazy; especially in the European markets. This may be the next “When Love Takes Over.” Way back in February when we heard the snippet of her collaboration with Crookers, we kept our fingers crossed that she would release an album filled of similar material. It looks like we will get our wish.

Kelis has always been two steps ahead of the rest. Unfortunately, she’s not mainstream enough to get full credit for creating a new trend in music. And even though the dance/electro thing is done to death, it sounds fresh and new all over again with Kelis doing it.

Like “When Love Takes Over”, there is not too much of a storyline. The video is basically one long party clip; there are scenes of Akon taking polaroids with the many women he parties with, there’s a pool party and there’s a performance at a nightclub towards the end. The video is just an overall fun/upbeat clip that fits the song perfectly. The bass in this song is bangin’.

… and it seems David Guetta is keeping the fire burnin’ with yet another one of his songs from One Love leaking. Despite this being a snippet we can tell he has concocted a very well done track with Kid CuDi.

Apparently Guetta and CuDi met on the set of the Black Eyed Peas “I Gotta Feeling” music video. Guetta played the instrumental for CuDi and the next day in L.A. he was laying down the vocals. [SOURCE]

Mixing dance and urban nowadays is as common as celeb paparazzi shots but David Guetta has been doing the dance thing for many years so these collaborations are coming off without a hitch; club’s best friend. Check it out!

DJ David Guetta is coming off the success of “When Love Takes Over” featuring Kelly Rowland into his second single entitled “Sexy Bitch” featuring Akon.

Man this is one is dangerous! We don’t know if it will appeal to the same crowd as Kelly Row’s single because it’s more urban and darker but it’s hot nonetheless. One Love is expected to feature the Black Eyed Peas, Estelle and Wynter Gordon and will be in stores on August 24, 2009.

What is up with this? C.S. must be losing their minds forgetting to post on CuDi. Well it isn’t that serious but a few things have leaked from him that we haven’t posted so let’s get to it.

Last year CuDi’s mixtape, A KiD Named CuDi, dropped as we all know and video director Va$htie Kola directed the video for “Heaven at Nite”. The video is simple with KiD making his way through a party. The song’s vibe makes for a chilled atmosphere. It has has such an organic feel, if that makes sense. What’s great about the new generation of Hip-Hop artists like CuDi is they are able to crossover into other markets. A big part of that is due to them mixing melodies with their rap, something was not always present in the genre.

CuDi was also featured on a track by Rich Hil and it was entitled “Girls, Sounds & Colors”. It was an accidental leak as the song was to appear on Rich Hil’s mixtape Ima Limo Ima Stoner. Despite that the song is pretty good with it’s electro synths skipping about the track. If you haven’t heard it yet check it below.

Just the other day “Mr. Solo Dolo” which was performed in a number of live sets was leaked in studio quality. This too was another “accidental” leak as this is set to make the final track list of the album. It’s not finished though as CuDi mentioned they are some strings missing and a few other things he has to do to polish it up.

In the last bit of catching up with CuDi, news has come to light that he will be featured on David Guetta‘s upcoming album. Also look out for featurettes from Estelle, Akon and Will.I.Am. It really shows how the tone of the of music today has changed from the past. Honestly, would you ever think an urban artist would be appearing on a French Dance DJ’s LP?

French DJ, David Guetta, has collaborated with Kelly Rowland for a dance track titled “When Love Takes Over”. The song is due to appear on Guetta’s upcoming album to be released later this year. This is definitely a change of pace for Kelly because her usual material is R&B. It’s not so much of a surprise because even though her album Ms. Kelly did not do too well in the North American market it certainly was well received in Europe. Spending enough time in Europe a person is bound to hear one or two dance tracks and like them. So we shall see if this single has an effect on Kelly’s musical route the next time around.
