We avoided this song for the longest and then last night we just gave in and listened. This song is radio fodder, BUT it’s so good. The video is the usual uninspired club affair but like we just said, the song is good; it’s a perfect uptempo song for the night. Look out for Flo Rida’s next albu, The Only 1, later this year.
A few months ago it was announced that Madonna and producer David Guetta went into the studio to work on the Queen of Pop’s 12th studio album. Well, on March 5, it was reported that the single wasmastered and complete and all ready to go. Here’s what Guetta told Nine MSN:
“That’s done, the single will be out very soon and it’s amazing, I’m very happy.” [SOURCE]
Almost a month later and some of Madonna’s stans over at ileaks.com had the chance to listen to the single, “Boom,” and said this about it:
1. The title speaks it all! It’s explosive.
2. If you think “When Love Takes Over”, “I Gotta Feeling” or “Sexy Bitch” were Guetta’s peak, think twice after hearing this track.

Those few one-liners are not anything solid to go by but it lets us know that single we’ll at least hear the single sooner than later. Another thing, we really hope Guetta does not gives us some over-the-top production like the Paul Oakenfold produced “Celebration.”
We’ve heard him on the hook of B.o.B.’s “Nothin’ On You” and just the other day on Travie McCoy’s “Billionaire” but now Bruno Mars is trying to get his own shine on in a new David Guetta produced track entitled “World Goes On.”
The guy has a voice as anyone who can hear properly should be able to tell. The production is your typical Guetta affair but it works. Hopefully Mars career takes off because he works and shines as a hook singer but singing whole sings may not attract as many people.

After a delay, Estelle’s new video for “Freak” is here. The video was directed by Nabil Elderkin who has worked with the likes of Seal, Will.i.am, Common, Mr. Hudson, Kanye West and more.
Elderkin definitely lends his artistic vision to Estelle with this fashion drenched futuristic clip. There are tons of effects in the video and it’s a bit amazing how all that was transformed from a bunch of green screens. It’s a change from Estelle’s more soulful style but it’s an evolution, even if more into the trendy realm.
OHHHHHHHHHH my! Let’s get straight into this. David Guetta has produced a FUNKY dancefloor/club hit for Estelle. “Freak” features Kardinal Offishall and is the first single lifted from her third studio album All of Me. Estelle previewed her less soulful, more pop sound when she did the theme song for the Crystal Light commercial last year and this is another step towards that direction.
The song sample’s Soul II Soul’s “Back To Life (However Do You Want Me)” and wow o wow all this energy and electro-dance funk is hittin’ all the right nerves. I think it’s safe to say, without getting a slap, that David Guetta is the top, near to being the top producer of the electro phase in mainstream music. With all the speculation that Rihanna is set to do a “Rih-release” of her current album, Rated R, three sources have now reported that Rih’s studio sessions with David Guetta and Ne-Yo are in fact for a new album set for a Summer 2010 release. Rihanna spoke to MTV last week, whilst in Asia, that her next album will be “energetic, up-tempo pop records.” Apparently Rihanna
While the source at Def Jam tells Ikon the quick push to release a new album is because “Ri wants to get across that she’s moved on from the dark period she was in when recording the ‘Rated R’ songs,” our source says that’s only part of the reason. The label is said to be unhappy with Rated R’s current performance. The album has been certified platinum in the United States and has had two top 10 singles with another, the snappy island-flavored “Rude Boy,” moving up the charts quickly, but it appears it hasn’t yet lived up to the label’s big projections or massive investments.
Our source says “Rude Boy” will likely be Rated R’s final single with the new album and tour taking priority after promotion ends.
Asked about what we should expect from Rihanna’s new album, my insider continued: “Ri wants to get across that she’s moved on from the dark period she was in when recording the ‘Rated R’ songs. If you’re thinking to yourself, “Didn’t she just release an album a few months ago?”, just remember that she was the one who released her first three albums in just 2 years. It’s obvious that the record label could be much happier with Rihanna’s sales and want to drive her back to #1 ASAP.

For awhile now we’ve been waiting for the new chapter of Kelis’ music and today is that day. She returned to Twitter to tell us her fifth studio album is almost completed. The first single “Acapella,” was produced by DJ David Guetta. In addition to Guetta, the album will feature productions by Burnz, DJ Ammo, Boys Noize, Diplo & Switch, and Free School. Here is what she stated on her site:
Well, walking through the streets of NY this summer…I use the term walking loosely…I was extremely pregnant and probably doing more of a very slow creep down each humid sticky block…people had so much to say to me. You know us New Yorkers don’t ever keep anything to ourselves…I was asked if I would ever put another album out. I suppose people assumed after the baby and divorce and all the time I took off (went to culinary school during my break which was amazing and another conversation) that it would be on to motherhood for me. And well that’s true…as I lay here with my perfect little won ton now writing you all this message. My answer was always the same. “Soon come guys”
and so here we are. My album is pretty much done. I signed a new deal and I’m madly in love with life and ready to share something with you. My song is called “Acapella” and I wrote it with love and life in mind. I hope that it finds you well and that you love it, cause honestly I do! Muah!”

This song is going to have the clubs going crazy; especially in the European markets. This may be the next “When Love Takes Over.” Way back in February when we heard the snippet of her collaboration with Crookers, we kept our fingers crossed that she would release an album filled of similar material. It looks like we will get our wish.
Kelis has always been two steps ahead of the rest. Unfortunately, she’s not mainstream enough to get full credit for creating a new trend in music. And even though the dance/electro thing is done to death, it sounds fresh and new all over again with Kelis doing it.

The video for David Guetta’s “Sexy Bitch” feat. Akon premiered via Yahoo and well y’know those Youtube rippers are always on top of their game.
Like “When Love Takes Over”, there is not too much of a storyline. The video is basically one long party clip; there are scenes of Akon taking polaroids with the many women he parties with, there’s a pool party and there’s a performance at a nightclub towards the end. The video is just an overall fun/upbeat clip that fits the song perfectly. The bass in this song is bangin’.
… and it seems David Guetta is keeping the fire burnin’ with yet another one of his songs from One Love leaking. Despite this being a snippet we can tell he has concocted a very well done track with Kid CuDi.
Apparently Guetta and CuDi met on the set of the Black Eyed Peas “I Gotta Feeling” music video. Guetta played the instrumental for CuDi and the next day in L.A. he was laying down the vocals. [SOURCE]

DJ David Guetta is coming off the success of “When Love Takes Over” featuring Kelly Rowland into his second single entitled “Sexy Bitch” featuring Akon.
Man this is one is dangerous! We don’t know if it will appeal to the same crowd as Kelly Row’s single because it’s more urban and darker but it’s hot nonetheless. One Love is expected to feature the Black Eyed Peas, Estelle and Wynter Gordon and will be in stores on August 24, 2009.
