It seems Ciara’s Basic Instinct is following in the path of her failed LP, Fantasy Ride. Her songs are beginning to leak but only in snippet form. This one is entitled “I Run It.”
We really hope this album does not get messed up because this snippet of “I Run It” is a fresh little R&B jam. CiCi needs to get serious with who has access to her music.

Super CiCi Ciara sticks with being sexy by displaying her vivid dance moves and silhouette in the new Diane Martel directed video for the Ludacris assisted “Ride” single.
The video is full of stomping and whipping sounds effects for added value. Ciara is taking pages from the iconic J. Jackson by keeping a minimalistic approach to her video and keeping our attention by using every bit of choreography she can think of. She is definitely back to the urban style of her first album and is representing the city of Atlanta the best she can. We just had to watch that video twice and so should you.
After the failure of last year’s Fantasy Ride, due to the gash of leaks, Ciara headed back into the studio towards the end of 2009 to record her upcoming fourth studio LP.
Fast forward two leaks and a few months later and we have the first official single from the project. Last week we were privileged to an exclusive listen of the first single entitled “Ride” which features fellow ATL native, Ludacris. Of course, we only could post the review today because of legal reasons. So go on to read two very different reviews from C & S.
C’s Review
“Ride” takes us back to 2004, the Goodies days when Ciara was the Princess of Crunk&B… Upon first listen, this was just another rehash of Ciara’s better days. Then it became clear that this type of music is Ciara’s rightful lane. The midtempo urban tune doused in a sophisticated “ghetto swagger” quickly becomes addictive and it will be a very weird occurrence if urban radio, at least, does not acknowledge this song. Oh, of course Ludacris lays down his signature style of rapping to take this song up a notch. C approves this CiCi track!
S’ Review
I find this song highly annoying. It shows no vocal growth or range. She is one of those artists that will make it on beats and being pretty and a good dancer. Ludacris, I cant say helped it, he was alright. There was nothing new or cool about the beat, it was typical Ciara. I can see the video of her dancing extremely sexy or riding some sort of electric bull but I will listen to it again. Maybe the song will grow on me.
Ciara attended the movie premiere of Death at a Funeral, which is an almost complete replica of the hit UK film released a few years ago. Whilst on the red carpet Ciara let the info spill on the title of her upcoming album:
“It’s called Basic Instinct. I executive produced it with Tricky & Dream and I worked very hard on it and they did to. It’s been so much fun so when you get the record you’re going to get a really fun vibe, an even more sensual side and also confident and cocky. I got such an attitude on this record, but in a fun way.” [SOURCE]
The title is well known for something else but that was nearly 30 years ago so it is actually a great album title and it’s great to know that Ciara seems hell bent on proving all the naysayers wrong. Now hurry “Ride” that single on out.
Yesterday, Ciara teased us with the kiss of news that her first single “Ride” would feature Ludacris and today the teasing went two steps further. We first get to hear “Speechless” featuring The-Dream as well as view some behind-the-scenes footage of the “Ride” music video with Ludacris.
“Speechless” displays the return of Ciara to a more urban sound which also focuses more on her vocals. It seems the magic that The-Dream used on Electrik Red’s debut LP and along with the little magic on Mariah Carey’s album from last year is being thrown all over CiCi. The song is smooth and has that signature The-Dream bassline. This leak does scare us though, because this is not even the first single and it has leaked.

To further the leaking curse, some sneaky snake recorded footage off of the set of Ciara’s “Ride” video with Ludacris which was shot today in Los Angeles. “Ride” is another smooth midtempo R&B jam, not to mention that Ciara is looking sexy to the core even from those LQ screen caps. Watch the leaked on-set footage from the “Ride” video after…
Rap-Up reported exclusively today that Ciara will collaborate for a 3rd time with Ludacris for her first single, “Ride,” off of the entertainer’s upcoming fourth studio album. When the two get together they usually start a fire especially in the case of the first collaboration, “Oh.”
The producer nor writer of “Ride” have been announced but it The-Dream, Bangladesh, Tricky Stewart, Darkchild and more will contribute to the album. We have our fingers crossed for the two ATL natives.
Ciara is looking to bounce back this year after her third studio album, Fantasy Ride, plummeted into oblivion last year; well that was a bit overstated but… On this glorious Sunday a new track from this new round of Ciara has leaked. CiCi is looking to, how do we say, in Bahamian terms, CUT ASS with this The-Dream written/featured and Tricky Stewart produced song.
The highlight of “I’m Up In the Bank” is surprisingly not the production but actually the lyrics as The-Dream has written some sassy one-liners for Ciara to spit at her those who trashed her. The overall gist of the song is Ciara telling everyone she may not be everyone’s sweetheart but she’s working and making money, respectfully.
A’right, it’s go time because we now know what The-Dream and Tricky are doing for Ciara this time around and it’s all about urban aggression. There’s no time to play as it is Ciara’s last straw in a way; either she comes through with this album or she’ll have to do some heavy reconsideration.

R&B’s top two most fashionable ladies, Rihanna & Ciara, both attended the annual 2010 Clive Davis Pre-Grammy Party. Both women were rocking looks that are a bit unusual but looked beautiful doing it. Now only if their music could surpass their fashion interest.
The-Dream announced via his Twitter account that he finished the recording of his third and final studio album entitled LoveKing, claiming it to be the best of the three.

1, 2, 3 and The-Dream finishes his solo career off. Both Love Hate and Love vs. Money were phenomenal albums despite the lack of praise in certain areas. “Right Side of My Brain” still gets tortured in our library: love that song. With The-Dream saying this is his best album we look forward to it because it’s very rare when he boasts about his work and it doesn’t live up to the statement.
Originally announced that Ciara’s fourth studio album will solely be produced by The-Dream and Tricky Stewart, new reports have confirmed that Ciara is reuniting with producer Bangladesh for the album. Bangladesh produced Ciara’s “Hotline” from her debut album Goodies.

It looks as though Ciara may be trying everything in her power to come through with an album that’s a success. There’s no denying Ciara’s overall appeal but let’s face it, if she does not bring the heat with this album then she might as well leave and come back with a different alias. Well that is a bit harsh because if the music is good enough, the performer can always make a comeback.
A few months ago, a glossy high fashion portrait of Ciara leaked online. As news leaked through the cracks that Ciara was to be the new muse for fashion house Givenchy, it was thought the picture may have have been for a future campaign. As of yesterday all was clarified as similar images from a shoot for L’Officiel magazine appeared. Photographers Steven Gomillion and Dennis Leupold, of GNL STUDIOS, were behind the shoot. They were also the duo behind an upcoming shoot with Ciara for German Vogue.
ON POINT! This photoshoot is off the walls. Ciara secretes whatever the hell it is that makes her turn out these great photos. We are interested to see how her German Vogue shoot turned out. Ciara, like Rihanna, is a pop/fashion hybrid; More modelesque looking than the average Pop act but not quite what they would use on runways and in magazines (not including the celebrity category).
