Official Video Premiere: Ciara’s “Gimme Dat”

So most of you probably saw the video leak of Ciara’s “Gimme Dat”yesterday. The Melina-directed video displayed Ciara in a way that we haven’t seen her in awhile; that urban chick who sets the floor on fire with her dance moves. Of course there was “Work” but that still wassn’t “original” Ciara.

It’s cool how they did a few audio edits to the song to put emphasis on the bass. That intro with the black lambo and dance break at the end is leaving burns all over. Ciara is just too damn “FLY” and sexy in this video. It’s definitely one of her best to date.

Question: Why does VEVO and Ciara’s record label block the video outside of the US from being viewed? You would think an artist like her would take all the international exposure…

“Deuces”: The Chris Brown Mega Remix + Ciara’s Take…

So a great deal of you have probably been bumping the official remix of Chris Brown’s “Deuces” which features Drake, T.I., Kanye West, Fabolous, Rick Ross & Andre 3000. The #1 R&B song in the US receives major support with this All Star Hip-Hop line-up.

Honestly, we fully understand and support this because let’s face it, the remix is pure heat and some sponsoring by a crop of today’s top-of-the-pack rappers is great for Brown’s popularity. However it’s the original song that won over a mass of people and this remix drowns out Breezy. It’s like “Deuces” by Various Artists instead of Chris Brown featuring… Point is, the remix is deadly on its own song but the simplicity of the original is where it’s at, DEUCES! Ciara to Perform At the 2010 VMA’s

Just when the 2010 VMA’s performance line-up was looking full of mess with one or two exceptions, it was recently confirmed by Ciara herself that she is to take the stage at this year’s ceremonies:

Correct us if we’re wrong but won’t this make it the first time, EVER, that Ciara performs solely on the VMA stage. It’s about damn time and this is just the sort of promo she needs for her album. September 12, tune in people.

Usher Reveals ‘Versus’ Album Cover

Usher is giving the Lady GaGa The Fame Monster treatment to his chart topping album, Raymond vs. Raymond. The album cover just recently leaked… [SOURCE 1] [SOURCE 2]

Lots of pink and purple and bold text which looks very Miami nightlife. From the sounds of the leaked ““DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love” featuring Pitbull and “Get in My Car” featuring Bun B, the album will be all sorts of uptempo fun. Another track to look forward to is “Hot Toddy” featuring Ciara and Jay-Z. Look out for Versus on August 24.

“Gimme Dat” Second Ciara Single

As Ciara promised in previous interviews, she’s going home with her second single, “Gimme Dat,” and sound for her forthcoming album. The single, chalked full of bass and we mean the kind that will have your car vibrating without the volume being turned up to the max, is lifted from her fourth studio album, Basic Instinct, out August 17.

Guess what? The song is uptempo and does not feature a millisecond of electro… The Tricky Stewart and Soundz produced “Gimme Dat” is pure “fiya,” meant for the dance floor and will have radios crushin’. In a recent interview Ciara said Basic Instinct will in fact be “bass heavy” and will be a mix of all three of her previous albums: R&B, Hip-Hop and Pop. Well y’know how we be stans for anything with a deep bassline…

Before the album arrives next month there will be a Basic Instinct mixtape, so look out for that. “Ride” has attained success with minimal promotion and “Gimme Dat” could blow up so we ask Ciara’s team (if you can see this) to promote Promote PROMOTE!

Ciara has already stepped out on the right foot for her Basic Instinct album with lead single “Ride,” featuring Ludacris. The only thing missing is the uptempo and Ciara answers that in this new leak, made for the clubs, “Get It Girl.”

Ciara stated this forthcoming album will make you dance and “Get It Girl” may be the first bit of music, this era, to make us dance like Crunk&B at its prime. This song is such an urban banger and we love CiCi’s pauses in her vocal delivery. If you’re looking for depth then look elsewhere but if you want to have a fun and free time then listen to this song.

UH HUH! We Def. Like the New Way Ciara Rides It

For those of you who may like the original “Ride” but thought the tempo was lacking, then this new official remix of the single should be your cup of tea. Ciara puts a twist on the single for a 90′s booty bass vibe.

This remix is the sound that made Ciara who she is; an uptempo jam you can have fun and freestyle dance to. To be honest this would be a better contender for a first single than the original, it just would wake the listener up and keep them listening, perfect for summer.

Don’t worry though, Ciara spoke about the next single and said it would be something that will make you get up and move. Thumbs up to this nice lil remix. Spotted at Toya‘s.

Leaks Are Not What love Is About, Ciara

It’s happening again, Ciara’s album is about to be spoiled due to various leaks. A new song produced by Danja and entitled “This Is What Love Is” hit the net a few hours ago. No telling whether or not this is from her forthcoming album or her last album.

The song has a mean bassline and subtle synths, it’s pretty much a Danja production. The vocals are usual Ciara; they are light and semi-whispery. Overall, the song is not great but every enjoyable.
