This time of year is the best for partying and celebrating but as far as blogging, not so much. However, there is one thing to look forward to during this time. This would be the incredible United State of Pop mash-up by DJ Earworm, this year entitled as “Don’t Stop the Pop.” The mash-up blends the top 25 hits of the Billboard Hot 100.
This year’s mash-up includes Ke$ha‘s “Tik Tok,” Bruno Mars‘ “Just the Way You Are,” Travie McCoy‘s “Billionaire” featuring Bruno Mars, B.o.B‘s “Nothin’ On You” featuring Bruno Mars and “Airplanes” featuring Hayley Williams, Lady GaGa‘s “Bad Romance” and Telephone featuring Beyoncé, Rihanna‘s “Rude Boy,” Eminem‘s “Not Afraid” and “Love the Way You Lie” featuring “Rihanna,” Taio Cruz‘s “Break Your Heart” featuring Ludacris and “Dynamite,” Enrique Iglesias‘ “I Like It” featuring Pitbull, Katy Perry‘s “California Gurls” featuring Snoop Dogg and “Teenage Dream,” Mike Posner‘s “Cooler Than Me,” Black Eyed Peas‘ “Rock That Body” and “Imma Be,” Young Money‘s “Bedrock,” Iyaz‘s “Replay,” Lady Antebellum‘s “Need You Now,” Usher “OMG” featuring Will.i.am and “DJ Got Us Falling In Love” featuring Pitbull, Train “Hey, Soul Sister” and Jay-Z “Empire State of Mind” featuring Alicia Keys.
After two listens it’s obvious that the made-for-radio hits of 2010 focused on melodies. This isn’t Earworm’s best to date; the songs of 2010 allowed for pretty beats but they all don’t perfectly blend together. Despite that, Earworm’s 2010 effort has us reliving all the fun energy of 2010 in a little over 5 minutes.
In other news, those of you who are aged 13-17 and will be spending you New Year’s here, in The Bahamas, can check out DJ Earworm at Club Rush, at the Atlantis Resort, listen below.
The video for Bruno Mars’ new video for “Grenade,” the second single lifted from Doo-Wops & Hooligans, premiered. In the video, there is no limit with Mars’ love for his girl. He drags a large piano through the streets of a city to end up on a railroad track only to be… Well take a look for yourself.
As for his album, his was the best single or, in other words, the most catchiest tune from the album so we’ll see how this one fairs.
Bruno Mars served as last night’s musical guest on Saturday Night Live. Keeping with his “Doo-Wops” theme he sported a blue blazer and a pompadour as he sang his hits “Nothin’ On You” and “Just The Way You Are.” Backed by violinists, Mars also switched to his album track, “Grenade,” which will most likely be the second single.
Also, a new track from the crooner leaked today. The song’s title is “Today My Life Begins” and is another great tune.

Bruno Mars may have recently been arrested for drug possession but this morning he’s sing about “Liquor Store Blues” with Damian Marley. The track is lifted from his forthcoming debut LP, Doo-Wops & Hooligans, out October 5.
The song is Pop but tinged with Reggae and Soul. Formulated for the radio, this song should take if presented to the right set of listeners. Plus, who isn’t a fan of Damian M. Take a listen to the track below.

Bruno started off singing on the hooks of two huge radio hits then he released an EP in addition to songs leaking from left to right. Well, we can officially call Mars a solo artist as the first single from his forthcoming debut album has surfaced, “Just the Way You Are,” produced by The Smeezingtons.
Do you hear those first 17 seconds, sonically oh so good isn’t it, a perfect into for the mushy piano-driven ballad. The song isn’t unheard of but it contains great vocals and a type of beat that never gets old. It will be neat to see how Mars fairs as a solo singer.
Bruno Mars is about to release his EP of 4 songs in a few days under the title It’s Better If You Don’t Understand. The biggest song ofthe EP leaked, the Cee-Lo and B.o.B assisted “The other Side.”
The song is pretty much what you would expect from three eclectic artists. It’s a bit alternative but still friendly enough for the radio. Mars has those signature vocals in full force over the funky beat and of course B.o.B gets together with the guy who made his single #1. Bruno Mars may not be another Matthew Santos afterall.

The video premiere for Travie McCoy’s first single off of Lazarus, “Billionaire,” featuring Bruno Mars is here.
The premise of the video very much matches the hook, it’s uplifting. A few struggling artists are working their hardest to get their music out but are being ignored and McCoy and Mars come to save the day and puts a little sunshine in everyone’s day. Check it out!
We’ve heard him on the hook of B.o.B.’s “Nothin’ On You” and just the other day on Travie McCoy’s “Billionaire” but now Bruno Mars is trying to get his own shine on in a new David Guetta produced track entitled “World Goes On.”
The guy has a voice as anyone who can hear properly should be able to tell. The production is your typical Guetta affair but it works. Hopefully Mars career takes off because he works and shines as a hook singer but singing whole sings may not attract as many people.
