Lady GaGa brought her A game earlier today for the Today Show’s Summer Concert series. The Pop phenomenon entertained a crowd of about 18,000 with multiple costume changes, solid live vocals and her signature quirky choreography.
She kicked the mini-concert off with a NY appropriate rendition of “Someone to Watch Over Me,” followed by a performance of her #1 single, “Bad Romance.” The Lady then did a beautiful vocal showing with her new song, “You and I,” set to appear on her forthcoming third studio album. GaGa then brought it forward with a well balanced performance of her latest single, “Alejandro”; she juggled singing and dancing extremely well. Lastly, in what we would say, Mother Nature helping GaGa to perfect her show, was a perfect ending to the concert with a performance of “Teeth.” The rain soaked performance was filled with hi-powered energy and assisted GaGa in topping herself once again.
The great thing about this concert was GaGa was fully charged; there was no sign of exhaustion therefore everything was simply on point. Also, the gimmicks were at a minimum and she relied on talent rather than cliché shock antics to entertain. She may be at a point in her career what is considered a peak for many but she seems to be stepping from high to higher all the time. Watch the performances after…
