Just when it seems NEET Recordings shelves Go! Pop! Bang!, Rye Rye comes with official new material to fill her fans with excitement. Rye Rye’s latest single is “Boom, Boom” and samples the Vengaboys 90′s hit of a similar title.
“Boom, Boom” is just as fun and colorful in sound as the single cover is in image. The single just wants to make you dance, dance and dance some more. Of course, what is a Rye Rye song without bass and sass. The single doesn’t drop, officially, until March 5 but listen to the full after…

We listened to Steven Christopher’s EP HeartbreakSexDreams the other evening but right now we are going to focus on the lead from the project, “Better.”
The midtempo tune with the heavy bassline is accompanied by a video set in a country motel. Complemented with vintage filters, Christopher ends up in a confrontation with his current girl’s ex. Listen and watch the single after…

A couple of years ago we posted on Steven Christopher who at the time had us going slightly crazy with his track “I’m Ready (Already).” We were recently reacquainted with the budding artist and well he’s still doing his thing and hittin’ us with those great melodies. We’ll be bringing more Steven C. to you, dose by dose, and you’ll be able to hear what he’s put forth with his HeartbreakSexDreams EP. Read up on him and watch the trailer for his single “Better” after…

It was a relief when Katy Perry’s dodged the sophomore slump with Teenage Dream; churning out three “genuine” #1 hits. Following that everything started to turn slightly sour when it was clear that the label was about to do everything to make as many #1 singles, no matter the gimmicks and tricks. Now that the original Teenage Dream album has been exhausted the next step is the obvious: a rerelease.
Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection will drop on March 27, preceded by the first single, “Part Of Me.” “Part Of Me” follows the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” approach. It sounds very much like the singles that went to #1, with the middle 8 an’ all.
With the desperate ploys used in this era alone you sorta wonder if Perry’s third album will even have a hit single.

Technically it hasn’t been four years since Cassie’s first album as she has released material that just never picked up. With the recent release of “King Of Hearts” it seems the girl with the pretty face is making an official return.

… of course it isn’t better than “The Boy Is Mine.” Back In 1998, “The Boy Is Mine” was number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for an impressive thirteen weeks and landed both Brandy and Monica a Grammy.
Now in 2012 both talents are hungry for that type of success again. Produced by Rico Love, “It All Belongs to Me,” shows that both Monica and Brandy still have “it.” Mixing Hip-Hop, R&B, Rock and Soul in the safest form, both ladies are through with their boyfriends claiming the material possessions purchased by them.
First area of wrong is the name dropping of Apple and Facebook. That alone makes the song dated… Oh there’s a bit more but “The Boy Is Mine” was lightning in a bottle so we can’t be too hard. Overall “It All Belongs…” is decent but leaves a lot to be desired. Listen up after…

We were just across the way and saw this new song and video from Miguel entitled “Adorn.” The song and video is lifted from Art Dealer Chic, Vol. 1 due out on February 27. Holy smokes, this song is some sensual goodness.
“‘Adorn’ is the first visual projection i’ll release inspired by a series of dreams I recently had,” explained Miguel, who also painted the album’s artwork.
Just watch and listen after because this is too good.

Of the handful of people who accused Lady GaGa of biting their style a couple of years ago, Irish artiste Róisín Murphy was one of them. Since the claims and a few loose single releases (“Orally Fixated“) Murphy has been somewhat quiet. That’s changed with the recent release of her song entitled “Simulation.”
Similar to “Orally…” the song is retro, disco and plain erotic. Lead by sex, the nine minute and ten seconds song is spread out with Murphy moaning and groaning over the bass thumping beat. We must say, the style of music does not match Murphy’s natural look. Like they say, looks can be deceiving, get NASTY after…

Elizabeth Grant bka Lana Del Rey has become a viral sensation with her vintage sonic style. We’ve always been captivated by “Video Games”; the song is just beautiful. Although, for some reason we just weren’t completely pulled in by this true artist.
Well, after the recent release of her latest single, “Born To Die,” we had no choice but to became a full fan of Rey. The haunting orchestral production sounds like some alternative urban tune then those retro vocals come in and just leaves the listener in a deep state of thought. Her new album, Born To Die, will be released at the top of 2012. Listen after…
