We haven’t had any music mash-up greatness around here for awhile. This new one is a mash-up of Kylie Minogue’s “Get Outta My Way” and Britney Spears’ “3″ + “Hold It Against Me.” The mash-up was put together by Daniel Solis. Isn’t that something, the instrumental for “Get Outta My Way” fits the acapella of “Hold It Against Me” almost better than the original does. Take a listen below.

This time of year is the best for partying and celebrating but as far as blogging, not so much. However, there is one thing to look forward to during this time. This would be the incredible United State of Pop mash-up by DJ Earworm, this year entitled as “Don’t Stop the Pop.” The mash-up blends the top 25 hits of the Billboard Hot 100.

This year’s mash-up includes Ke$ha‘s “Tik Tok,” Bruno Mars‘ “Just the Way You Are,” Travie McCoy‘s “Billionaire” featuring Bruno Mars, B.o.B‘s “Nothin’ On You” featuring Bruno Mars and “Airplanes” featuring Hayley Williams, Lady GaGa‘s “Bad Romance” and Telephone featuring Beyoncé, Rihanna‘s “Rude Boy,” Eminem‘s “Not Afraid” and “Love the Way You Lie” featuring “Rihanna,” Taio Cruz‘s “Break Your Heart” featuring Ludacris and “Dynamite,” Enrique Iglesias‘ “I Like It” featuring Pitbull, Katy Perry‘s “California Gurls” featuring Snoop Dogg and “Teenage Dream,” Mike Posner‘s “Cooler Than Me,” Black Eyed Peas‘ “Rock That Body” and “Imma Be,” Young Money‘s “Bedrock,” Iyaz‘s “Replay,” Lady Antebellum‘s “Need You Now,” Usher “OMG” featuring Will.i.am and “DJ Got Us Falling In Love” featuring Pitbull, Train “Hey, Soul Sister” and Jay-Z “Empire State of Mind” featuring Alicia Keys.

After two listens it’s obvious that the made-for-radio hits of 2010 focused on melodies. This isn’t Earworm’s best to date; the songs of 2010 allowed for pretty beats but they all don’t perfectly blend together. Despite that, Earworm’s 2010 effort has us reliving all the fun energy of 2010 in a little over 5 minutes.

It’s been awhile since we got some goods from DJ Ampero but no more complaints because the DJ with the eclectic taste recently released a crazy mix. The mix is meant for the Bambu crowd and although we’ve never stepped foot in the club the mix sounds like somethin’ to keep the adrenaline rushing.

From La Roux to KiD CuDi to Bob Marley and most things in between you can have  a night party all by yourself, if you wanted. There are very few imperfections in the mix that knocks the flow but it’s really nothing serious to distract from the entire experience. Listen to both parts of the mix below.

We were just over at Pigeons & Planes and heard this AMAZINGLY blazin’ mix of a Cam’Ron & Vado and Cutty Ranks lyrics:

During rehearsal for July 9th’s Skratch Bastid Presents: LET’S BUILD w/ Cosmo Baker, Cosmo and I were playing the new Cam’Ron & Vado heatrock “Speakin’ In Tongues” and Cos started chopping up different parts of the beat, flipping it inna dancehall stylee. We threw Cutty Ranks’ immortal “Limb By Limb” acapella over top of it and it and instantly smoke filled the room and an airhorn sounded from the distance. Magical. It’s been a month or so since DJ Ampero hit us with a new mix and here’s how he described the latest:

With each new mix we can hear the evolution of Ampero’s talent. The songs he chose all compliment each other and had us moving all over. The only critique we have to say is the breaks could have been a little less sudden but other than that GREAT STUFF!

We love ourselves a good ol’ mash-up, just loves the stuff. Stockhom Beat Connection has taken a current and a classic and thrown it in a blender. The result is an ultra funky and fun mash-up of Salt N Pepa’s “Push It” and Robyn’s “Fembot.”

“SSSSS AHHHHH PUSH IT, Fembot” *takes in all the electro and funky bassline like a drug* Musical treats like this is what we need more off. Come on, spoil us with this good kick-in-the-face type of tune.

Max Tannone, the creator of the amazing mash-up album Jaydiohead (Jay-Z x Radiohead) has struck again us again with a sonic boom. Tannone has created 10 tracks of perfection with his newest project entitled Mos Dub. The album is a mash-up of Mos Def tracks and classic Reggae dub tracks.

Sonically orgasmic people, Tannone really has a great talent of taking two songs and melting them into one. If the listener has no knowledge of this music then it would be hard to even know that it took two to make one . You can tell he took some time to sit down and plan which songs would blend perfectly with the other. We’re loving each and every single track. RECOMMENDED!

A week later and we have another exclusive from DJ Ampero. This new mash-up/remix is entitled “Sexy in Tom’s Diner” and the vocals are Spragga Benz’s “How You Look Sexy So?,” the beat is Susan Vega’s “Tom’s Diner” with a loop of Juvenile’s “Back That Azz Up.”

The song gets off to a rough start but progresses into a pretty hot track. In other news, Ampero will be releasing an free of charge LP that will consist of 10 tracks under the title Gallimaufy.

It was a nice treat to open up our email and see this in there. Bahamian DJ Ampero dropped a little something off, it’s a remix mash-up of Chris Brown’s “Transform Ya” and “Under Mi Sensi” (Mr. Vegas, Alozade, Hollow Point).
