How Britney Spears Sounds Auto-Tuning “Telephone”

Britney+Spears+beautifulbritney

Last year after the initial leak of GaGa’s “Telephone,” it was mentioned that the song was given to Britney Spears’ to appear on her greatest hits album but we all now where the song eneded up.

Here’s Britney Spears’ demo of the track. We posted because we know many of you will like it but we truly and honestly dislike this song, no matter who sings it.

UPDATE: Surprise, surprise, this demo is not actually B. Spears. Who cares, the post did the trick of…

So This Is What Beyoncé Will Sound Like On the Jeezy Track

Young+Jeezy

Ester Dean is on a roll with many writing credits, most notably Rihanna’s “Rude Boy” and Christina Aguilera’s upcoming “Not Myself Tonight.” Now she’s co-writing on Young Jeezy’s first single from the rapper’s fourth studio album, Thug Motivation 103. The single is entitled “Mama Told Me” and Dean is singing in place of Beyoncé for a demo cut.

We smell a radio hit for Jeezy. The radio and the public just eat up these hard rappers’ songs with a soft hook. Beyoncé alone will aid in making it possible. Jeezy is great on his own anyway so the combination of the two will take this Middle-Eastern shaded song to a higher level.

Drake Sings “Fall For Your Type”

Drake reference

An old reference track is swimming through the net waves and the song was supposedly for Jamie Foxx. The song entitled “Fall For Your Type” finds Drake leaving his rapping skills on the bench for his singing abilities.

Please, please, we beg that at least one track like this makes Thank Me Later. This is the Drake we can become a fan of. Him singing over a minimal production seems almost organic and so effortless and smooth. His rapping is blazin’ but… we still cannot get over his remix he did of Lykke Li’s “Little Bit.”

Introducing, Dromomania

DROMOMANIA BANNER1 copykkk

Earlier this morning we brought you Bahamian singer Saniyah and now we have another Bahamian act on the rise. The duo go by the name of Dromomania. Though, not as established as other Bahamian artists we’ve showcased, they receive our unlimited respect for their international take on music. In addition to that, everything they’ve let us sample was written and produced by them. Below is a little bio of the duo:

Cigz and Wolf Rizzla are Dromomania. The group formed in November of 2009 after Wolf had become bored with only working on solo material. Having met Cigz a year earlier and knowing of her raspy, soulful voice, one that could compliment his spunky voice, he asked her to form a duo that would make electro music unlike any other in their native Bahamas. Since then, the pair have been working and writing furiously on demos for an upcoming EP and LP. The 19-year-olds intend on putting out vinyls by late Fall/early Winter followed by an LP entitled Amour Noir. Inspired by Gnarls Barkley, French Techno, Nina Simone, Gorillaz, Italodisco, 60’s girl and boy groups and Daft Punk (just to name a few), one can expect a debut album made with plenty of heart. Dromomania’s hypnotizing, layered, melody-driven songs are aimed to make you dance and cry at the same time!

Confirmed tracks for Amour Noir include “Alien,” “Last Call,” “Proper,” “Love Injection,” “Mirror Ball,” “The Day You Die,” “Centuries” and the title track “Amour Noir.” Dromomania has a lot to bring to the table, A LOT. It would be a shame if they deter from all that potential. Listen to a demo snippet of their first single, “The Day You Die,” which samples the 90’s hit “Mr. Vain” and some Neptunes’ drums.

They Don’t Love Diddy

Diddy

A new arrival on the Last Train to Paris is here, or a potential rider. The song is entitled ” They Don’t Love Me” and features The-Dream.

This sounds like it needs  mastering but besides that, everything we’ve heard that’s meant for Last Train… including the LQ club rips sounds amazing. If the album ever sees the light of day it will have the clubs vibrating with joy, sound systems booming for life and humans moving uncontrollably.

Britney Spears & Lady GaGa “Super Lover”…

britney gagaVia: Monster Emancipation

If Lady GaGa and Britney Spears collaborated what could we expect? A 90’s infused , uptempo radio jam, of course. Some unknown female vocalist submitted this demo to Britney Spears. There are so many demos nowadays but this one would actually sound fitting to the duo. It most likely will not happen but we wonder if this demo will do for this song as “Silly Boy” did for Eva Simmons… nahhhh.

What They Say… Kelis Vs. Chris Brown

chris brown kelis

A few days ago a bonus track from the Japanese edition of Graffiti entitled “They Say” leaked. Today, an unexpected demo of the very same song leaked with Kelis on vocal duties and Jean Baptiste on background… The songs are identical except for a few ad-libs from Brown’s version and a few other elements here and there as it is a finished track. Although Brown’s version is finished Kelis wins this battle as her voice is more suited for the type of song. Her vocal style just complements the production better than Brown’s deeper pitch.

Britney is a Bad Girl for Weezy

britney-spears-lil-wayne-bad-girl

About a month ago producer Russ Castella tweeted about working with Britney Spears on a new song for her upcoming compilation album, The Singles Collection. Well today the song leaked under the titled “Bad Girl” (formerly “Dirty Girl”). It is unclear whether or not this is the final version or some demo because we previously learned that there are singers who can sound identical to the signed artists i.e. Rihanna in “Emergency Room”.

Wow this is a lot more urban for Britney. The song is fire and Britney is always consistent with bringing good music. Of course the lyrics mean nothing deep and what’s more unsurprising than Wayne showing up with a verse to offer. This definitely will do well on the radio if released as a single. Like we just mentioned Britney is consistent, even when all else seemed downhill in her personal life she produced the best album of her career, Blackout. Also, isn’t it funny that both Madonna and Britney are releasing their greatest hits albums and each of them has a new song with Weezy; coincidental.

They Don’t Know the Trick to Mariah’s Dream

thedream

Another forthcoming cut from Mariah’s Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel is here for us to preview with The-Dream singing the demo. The demo is for the song “They Don’t Know Me”.

The-Dream is somethin’ else. His mind is perfect to interpret women’s feelings; no wonder he landed C. Milli. Also his talent for singing in a falsetto is off the wall but back to the song. The faith is being restored in Mimi’s album; that it won’t be a group of forgettable radio friendly tunes. Tricky Stewart’s production on this one is chilled and the overall vibe is smooth and melodical. The-Dream’s singing style is a great reference to how Mariah will actually sound so it’s almost like listening to the final version. Great stuff!

The Whitney We Love Is Back

whitney-ny-8

After returning to the states from the London listening party of I Look to You, R&B diva Whitney Houston and music legend Clive Davis gave a NYC audience a preview of what’s to come from Houston’s release. The event took place at the Allen Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center last night. It’s been 8 years since we had an album from Whitney so the anticipation is high.

In a room filled with everyone from Alicia Keys to Martha Stewart, Whitney’s new album was followed by many standing ovations. It appears this truly is Houston’s time to shine again. We previously had the opinion that this would be a warm-up album for her but this seems to be what The Emancipation of Mimi was for Mariah. Also a 30 sec. snippet of the title track from the listening party has appeared online.

CLASSIC, TIMELESS, A DAMN BEAUTY! Whitney Houston has returned. The R. Kelly demo is just as great and Whitney executes this song with such ease. This does not disappoint, we’ll be listening to this twenty years from now. Also, Whitney’s official first single is “Million Dollar Bill” (written and produced by Alicia Keys and Swizz Beats). It is described as:

An up-tempo, joyful track about love and probably one of the funkiest songs Whitney has ever done. “Million Dollar Bill” has an amazing bass line and almost recalls early Michael Jackson in Off The Wall. The catchy hook, “You make me feel like a million dollar bill.” Her vocal is strong with some power notes toward the end. The song has an Alicia Keys sound but fits for Whit — it’s current without making her seem like she is trying to compete with teenagers. The song received a standing ovation. [SOURCE]
