Kelis Is a “Carefree American” On This 4th Of July

Kelis+K4

Happy 4th of July to you all. Just in time for today and the American release of Kelis’ Flesh Tone, out on Tuesday, a bonus track entitled “Carefree American” makes its way online.

A frequent collaborator of Kelis’ as of late, Jean Baptise, is on production duties in this song. here’s what kelis had to say about the song:

“It’s kinda like the back and forth between what we know that’s wrong with Americans and being in America, yet the things we love about it,” she continues, “and at the end of the day we don’t really sacrifice that much. I put myself in it as well; we are Americans and we like everything super-sized.” [SOURCE]

Yup, the song is EVERYTHING that is wrong with America but yet so appealing about that nation. It’s the freedom in America that overtime makes the masses nonchalant and oblvious to most things international and immune to common sense. The song is a great addition and is definitely appropriate for the region it’s being released in but Flesh Tone’s tracklist is seriously too short.

Christina Aguilera & Ladytron Together Are Little Dreamers

Christina+Aguilera+11

After all this time Christina Aguilera will be releasing her fourth studio album, Bionic, to international music outlets this upcoming week. There’s the standard edition of the disk, then there’s the deluxe edition but it is the iTunes deluxe edition that will give you an exclusive bonus track.

“Little Dreamer” is the Ladytron collaboration that Aguilera bragged about back in 2008. Unfortunately, the uptempo electropop single did not make the final cut. We can understand why it was left off but at the same time it is good enough to replace a track or two. Despite being left with a bad taste in our mouth after “Not Myself Tonight” quickly faded, we are so pleased with the outcome of {Bi~ΟΠ~iC}.

B.o.B.’s “Satellite” Is Out of This World Amazing

b.o.b

Bobby Ray Simmons aka B.o.B. is quickly becoming a favorite of ours, almost as much as KiD CuDi. Although we just acquainted ourselves with his music after being sucked in by the great “Nothin’ On You” featuring Bruno Mars, we’re catching up on all of his discography. To our surprise and pleasure, the final and mastered version of “Satellite” is given when you pre-order his debut album, The Adventures of Bobby Ray, which hits stores on April 27.

Amazing, incredible, sonically orgasmic and lots more is what we can say about this song. The production was so well done and Ray’s vocal style is sicker than a virus. Yes, we’re somewhat hype but we really like this song. We’re really pumped for this album now. Head on over to his site and PRE-ORDER The Adventures of Bobby Ray, pronto.

Gorillaz Spoils the Japanese With Bonus Track

Gorillaz+noodle

More music from Gorillaz’ Plastic Beach has surfaced. Since the album is out there, the bonus tracks follow the lead. This new leak is a Japanese bonus track entitled “Pirate’s Progress.”

Sound familiar, well that’s because it’s an extended version of the album’s intro. This is a beautiful piece; the live string instruments sound like heaven. If you’re into classical music then do yourself a favor and listen to this.

Chris Brown Goes Away

chris-brown-03

First off, how many songs did Chris Brown & co. write and produce for Graffiti. We asked because YET another bonus track has leaked in full from Breezy’s third studio album: this one, entitled “Go Away.”

The song takes the familiar pop/dance route that shapes the album. It is a mediocre song at best but we are suckers for songs that take us to euphoria or at least try to. We’ll give this one about 10 more energetic listens before we shelve it from boredom.

What They Say… Kelis Vs. Chris Brown

chris brown kelis

A few days ago a bonus track from the Japanese edition of Graffiti entitled “They Say” leaked. Today, an unexpected demo of the very same song leaked with Kelis on vocal duties and Jean Baptiste on background… The songs are identical except for a few ad-libs from Brown’s version and a few other elements here and there as it is a finished track. Although Brown’s version is finished Kelis wins this battle as her voice is more suited for the type of song. Her vocal style just complements the production better than Brown’s deeper pitch.

Trap-a-holics has a new mixtape out entitled Trappy New Year. There are 27 tracks on there but this new one of Gucci Mane featuring Pharrell is simple yet fiery.

Gucci Mane – Soldier feat. Pharrell

We threw in a bonus song for you tonight. The song is “Baby” from Pharrell’s solo album, In My Mind, which was released in 2006 and features Nelly.

The Prince vibe of this song, from the funky Neptunes’ drums and the thumping bass, makes us lay back and think of all things 80′s.

Alicia Keys Is at Heaven’s Door

alicia keys heaven's door

The album that keeps on giving; what is probably the last bonus track to leak from The Element of Freedom, is here. “Heaven’s Door” appears on the Japanese edition of the album and is available in stores now.

This song, this song takes us there. Some complain that this album is too commercial for Keys but this a well rounded album and she stays true to evolving her sound. The guitar strings are beautiful and her harmonies are warm and make us feel good. We noticed that drums are present in the majority of songs on the album and they are utilized in a complementary way. Give this song a listen!

Alicia Keys is also leaving this decade with a few achievements. She was named Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop artist of the decade and is #6 on Interview Magazine’s Most Beautiful People of the Decade.

Rihanna Has Two Holes in Her Head

rihanna hole in my head

In collaboration with Nokia, Def Jam made an exclusive bonus track available from Rated R. The song, “Hole In My Head,” featuring Justin Timberlake, written by James Fauntleroy and produced by the Y’s is an uptempo complement to the album.

The beat is mighty funky and sounds like something Tricky and the The-Dream would cook up. Timberlake’s presence is just as lackluster as it was in “Rehab” though. The song falls in between GGGB and Rated R; musically. This will sound great on a good sound system.

Leona Lewis “Fly Here Now”

leona lewis fly here now

A new bonus track has leaked from Leona Lewis’ Echo. The song is entitled “Fly Here Now” and is produced by The Y’s.

Nice, whilst it’s obvious this could only be a bonus track it is still a very decent song. The song starts with a keyboard riff then shifts into some 90′s synths that sound like something from a classic Madonna song. Lewis’ vocals are manufactured perfect as usual and her pitch and tone in the chorus is beautiful. Overall, another friendly song from the beautiful Lewis.

Also, you can downlaod another bonus track entitled “You Don’t Care” produced by Ryan tedder. It’s the usual of the run-of-the-,ill material from him and LeLe.
