• Rihanna’s Sixth Album Era Is Pushed Into Motion

  Rihanna, about to release her sixth studio album in six years… and the information is starting to pour in. The news came last weekend that the first single from the project is produced by DJ Calvin Harris. Then came along a tweet “Sometimes it feels like we find love in the most hopeless place” followed by the confirmed title of “We Found Love.”

  Just yesterday, a release date of October 11 was announced for the single only to be pushed up three weeks to this Thursday, September 21. Overexposure comes to mind with these continuous brand new releases from Rihanna but the lady switches it up each time. On top of that, over on her Facebook page she is doing the “Unlock” promo idea that was used two years ago during her Rated R era.

• VV Brown Releases “Children (Keep On Singing)”

  VV Brown was Travelling Like the Light her frist go ’round and now she is returning under Capitol Records, once again, for her sophomore LP. Garnering criticial acclaim in both the UK and US VV brings us the first single, “Children (Keep On Singing),” produced by Chuck Harmony.

  The single features Chiddy of Chiddy Bang, samples the nursery rhyme “Do Your Ears Hang Low?” and comes complete with a single cover that looks very similar to Nicki Minaj. Aside from the ditty sound of the song it’s about the youth and their aspirations of material wealth being top priority. The song was also inspired by this past summer’s London riots. Take a listen to the new tune below, which displays a heavier vocal style from Brown.

• Demi Lovato Puts The Power In Her Voice In “Lightweight”

  Demi Lovato is back in good form after her personal battles went public earlier this year. The Disney graduate is about to release her latest album, Unbroken, but as with most things music, there’s a leak. We gave the album a listen and that voice, oh that voice. The voice makes the album but there a few tracks that stand out on their own. “Lightweight” is one that stands tall.

  “Lightweight” was produced and written by Jim Beanz along with Frankie Storm and Shanna Crooks. All of them are out of Timbaland‘s camp. Lyrically, Lovato sings of her delicate and sensitive nature but sings with so much power. The harmonies and melody are so heavenly. We are hooked on to this track, just love it. • Lady Antebellum “Heart Of The World” Is Just Too Beautiful

  The country group who swept the Grammys, Lady Antebellum, released their newest album earlier this week. Own The Night is filled with all those good country ballads that the public love so much from the trio.

  To be honest, there aren’t too many standouts… We’re sorry but “I Run To You” is still our favorite song from them. But anyways, there is one song on Own The Night that just showcases what makes the group so likeable. It is the last song entitled “Heart Of The World.” There is just something so beautiful about this one, take a listen below.

• Unconfirmed: Rihanna’s New Single Produced By…

  Another year, another Rihanna studio LP. Yeap, Rihanna’s LOUD era is not even a year old but the Bajan is moving forward with a brand new album/era. Originally, there was to be a LOUD re-release but just the other day Rihanna confirmed the new album’s existence and confirmed its release for this Fall, yesterday.

  Of course with a new album from Rihanna, there’s a look to match. Rih is taking a step in a more natural direction but most importantly is what will the music sound like? • Ashanti Releases “Never Too Far Away”

  Almost a decade ago, R&B’s princess was Ashanti. The singer who stepped onto the scene in 2002, under the Murder Inc. umbrella, was the premiere female soloist in R&B. Her first year on the scene, no one was knocking her from the top. Then came along an already established female in the industry with blonde locks… Since then, Ashanti’s popularity has been on a steady decline.

  Today, she releases her first bit of music in well over a year. “Never Too Far Away” is produced by L.T. Hutton and appears on the soundtrack of Dream House, starring Daniel Craig and Naomi Watts.

  “Never Too Far Away” is a pretty nice song for such a dark looking movie. The ballad does not fit what the movie advertises, for sure. Besides that, it’s a decent song for Ashanti and hopefully this upcoming album will be great.

• Collage Ent. Return With “Stop Likin’ Man 3″

  The guys that brought us The Bahamian viral hit, “Stop Likin’ Man” are back with the sequel, to the sequel. Yes, that’s right, there was still enough momentum to squeeze out another installment of the series.

  “Stop Likin’ Man Pt. 3″ is another great take on the foolishness that has plagued this little nation of ours. The best bit about this latest installment is the guys’ take on nationwide events like the frequent power outtages and the trend of planking. Each scene got a laugh out of us.

  That was the good, now for the bad. We really can’t think of too much negative to say except that it really didn’t pack the punch of Part 2. Also, the ending left us asking for the rest. All in all, a good few minutes of laughs but how many more of these “Stop Likin’ Man” can be released before the popular phrase is reversed on them?

• Can LMFAO Reach “P.R.A.” Success With Next Single, “One Day”

  Party Rockers, LMFAO sweeped the summer’s Top 40 radio stations and dancefloors with their #1 hit, “Party Rock Anthem.” Whether the song was your addiction or you loathed it, one thing’s for sure, the song was everywhere.

  Listening to their sophomore album, Sorry For Party Rocking, none of the songs stand out like the former but there are still some decent dancefloor-ready tunes. The group is gearing up to release “One Day” as their next single.

  “P.R.A.” is most likely the highlight of the album but “One Day” has a feel good vibe to it and will definitley bring energy to any club. Take a listen below…

• Florence + The Machine Release Amazing “Shake It Out”…

  So in the last year or so Florence + The Machine shot upwards with their debut album, Lungs. Fans have been awaiting the return of The Machine whilst casual listeners awaited fiery red head Florence Welch’s return. Late last month, Florence + The Machine premiered “What The Water Gave Me” as a buzz single for their then yet-to-be-titled follow-up to Lungs.

  Today, the album cover, album title and track list all make their way into the light. The sophomore effort of Florence + The Machine is titled Ceremonials (to be released on October 31) and will contain 12 tracks.

  Along with that is the release of another track from Ceremonials entitled “Shake It Off.” Where “What The Water Gave Me” left us underwhelmed with its depressing mood, “Shake It Off” has that shout-from-the-top-of-a-mountain chanting that made them popular in the first place.
