Lady GaGa Premieres “The Edge Of Glory”

In two weeks, Lady GaGa’s third LP, Born This Way, will hit music outlets, globally. Today, a new promo track, “The Edge Of Glory,” was released via radio and iTunes. The Fernando Garibay-penned song, which was inspired by the death of her grandfather last year, “features Clarence Clemons of the E Street Band wailing on his saxophone.

When Rolling Stone described the sound of this song as “Eighties stadium rock vibe” it was not lying. Whilst not being the life changing music that this era was hyped to be, the song is still pretty damn great. The production slaps the listener from every direction, GaGa’s vocals drips emotion and the overall sound is of an anthem. We tend to get very critical with GaGa’s music because of her level of success but this song, just like a great deal of the rest, is just so appealing. Of the three official releases from the album, thus far, this is the best. Also, if you have not watched Lady Gaga Presents The Monster Ball Tour at Madison Square Garden, you must.
