Lady GaGa stopped by Ellen to give the first televised performance of her second single, “Judas,” from her Born This Way album.
GaGa was once again sans-gimmicks and what not, relying on her raw talent to perform. The performance style was of the late 90′s; simple costume, backup dancers and choreography. GaGa proved in her Grammy’s performance that she does not need all the extra but this time it seemed the combination of singing live and executing the dance moves was too much. Something about this performance was just not flowing well; it was a bit amateurish for someone of her level.
Up she goes, down she blows, the initial hype of the Born This Way era seems to be on a slight decline. Probably by the time the album is out it can be judged based on the quality alone and not because it’s coming from today’s biggest Pop star. One thing we can say though, Lady GaGa has damn heart and passion. It’s about time she grew drew back those eyebrows.
“Judas” video will premiere next week on American Idol and is said to have a runtime of about 5 and a half minutes.
