• Get To Know Khleo Thomas With His Warm-Up Mixtape

  Do any of you remember Khleo Thomas? Well if you do not he was known for his acting roles, most notably co-starring alongside Shia LaBeouf in Holes. Well, the guy is all grown up and switched paths into the field of music. Thomas is about to drop a new mixtape on 1-11-11 but before then he has released one entitled 2010 Memories. He was also recently featured in Indigo Charlie’s “Never Change.” Read below for some more info on Khleo:

  Khleo, an actor and musician mostly known for his films such as Holes, Roll Bounce, Walking Tall, Friday After Next and Hurricane Season, has been making a lot of noise MUSICALLY within the past year. His debut mixtape “THE WORLD IS A CARTOON” racked up 100,000 downloads within the first month of its release on January 11, 2010. Since then, Khleo has continued to flood the internet with music videos featured on WORLDSTAR HIP HOP, more music that kept his BUZZ growing, and his Twitter followers always waiting on the next release. Khleo’s upcoming mixtape “THE NEXT EPISODE” will be released on the year anniversary of “THE WORLD IS CARTOON” January 11, 2011 with features from Karina Pasian, Bei Major, Cali Swag District, OMG, plus a few other surprises.

It is far from what the big boys are putting out but Thomas is also is unsigned and completely independent. Check out the aspiring one.

• Katy Perry’s “Part of Me”

  2010 has definitely been a very successful year for Katy Perry. Dodging the dreaded sophomore slump, Perry ruled the Billboard Charts this year with three #1 singles: “California Gurls,” “Teenage Dream” and “Firework.” It looks as though the spunky Pop singer wants that success to rollover into the new year.

  An unheard of track entitled “Part of Me” recently made its way on the net. The song is rumored to be a part of a Teenage Dream re-release. It very much sounds like something that Perry would sing, almost sounding identical to a few of her other songs. Wherever it ends up, it would make a nice addition.

• New Dev & The Cataracs But It’s Not What You’d Expect

  Current club princess, Dev, and production duo, The Cataracs, have been supplying the addictive club bangas for the last half of 2010. Well the princess and duo have come forth with some new material but this time they’re leaving the full-on club approach on the shelf for something a bit softer.

  “Killer” is the first time we think we’ve heard Dev show off actual vocals. It was a little worrying to hear three songs from the lady and only hear stylish talking. The song is a nice slice of Electropop.

  “Me” is the middle ground between the club tunes we’ve heard and the gentleness of “Killer.” The song is a ballad but with the gulping bass of some urban rough cut. Another nice tune from Dev & The Cataracs.

• Video Premiere: Kanye West “Monster” Feat. Rick Ross, Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj & Bon Iver

  Viewers be on guard as the Jake Nava-directed video for Kanye West’s “Monster” will continue all opinions that the eccentric rapper is a devil worshipper. The terrifying video sees West playing and laying with a handful of dead female bodies: very dark. The video is still unfinished but the show stealer is none other than Nicki Minaj, once again. It’s a hype for a hype song, now go watch.

• DJ Earworm Releases His United State of Pop 2010: Don’t Stop The Pop

  This time of year is the best for partying and celebrating but as far as blogging, not so much. However, there is one thing to look forward to during this time. This would be the incredible United State of Pop mash-up by DJ Earworm, this year entitled as “Don’t Stop the Pop.” The mash-up blends the top 25 hits of the Billboard Hot 100.

  After two listens it’s obvious that the made-for-radio hits of 2010 focused on melodies. This isn’t Earworm’s best to date; the songs of 2010 allowed for pretty beats but they all don’t perfectly blend together. Despite that, Earworm’s 2010 effort has us reliving all the fun energy of 2010 in a little over 5 minutes.

  Swizz Beatz is sending us off on a beautiful note into the New Year as he releases the final Monster Monday tune today. The song belongs to none other than Alicia Keys and features Eve. “Speechless is alittle freestyle treat 4 the holidays.It’s not a new album, not a single its something special 4 U!” tweeted Alicia Keys.

  The song, which samples Kanye West’s “Devil In a New Dress,” has Keys singing about her newly first born son. With the song’s very soulful vibe Eve lays a complementary verse. After hearing this, you cannot help but anticipate for the next A. Keys album. Watch the behind-the-scenes video HERE.

• Keri Hilson Quietly Parties At Club Luna in The Bahamas

  Happy Holidays to you all, we hope it has been as eventful for you all as it has been for us.

  The Bahamas’ capital has been pretty hot with holiday parties and last night imported Keri Hilson for a birthday party at Club Luna. If you did not get to spot Hilson don’t feel too bad as she will be here for the next week vacationing with friends and family. So you might see her in Aura, you might see her in on a Family Island.
