No matter what, we will stick by the sales failure that was Bionic. Although, Christina Aguilera’s Back to Basics was an ambitious effort, it’s probably our least favorite album from her. So of course to see her revisit that era by doing Burlesque did not excite us. Well, a new song from the Burlesque soundtrack entitled “Express” exclusively premiered on Ryan Seacrest‘s radio show and it’s not bad, at all.

We were expecting nothing but corny over-sung show tunes from this film but to our surprise, “Express” is pretty nice. Yes, “Express” is mostly a cabaret tune but at the a same time it’s not. With a “bammin’” bassline that would fit any hot urban song, Aguilera’s powerful vocals are fully present with all the sass and funk in the world.

UPDATE: T.I.’s album No Mercy receives an official release date of December 7. Aguilera will appear as a guest vocalist. CDQ added, WOAH! that bass is about to make us go insane.
