Since the release of this mixtape we’ve given it quite a few spins. Jive singer/songwriter, Bei Maejor, released the second installment of his Upside Down mixtape serious, Hit Me Up; Upside Down 2, this past Black Friday. The mixtape is hosted by DJ’s Clinton Sparks and Ill Will and contains productions by Boi-1da, Tommy Hitz, Kevin Durant and Kane Beatz.
Maejor really put out a solid mixtape, like he did the first time around. Wonder if he’ll grow bigger than a mixtape artist? One thing’s for sure, he really knows how to sing and rap well together. Check out track #1, “Right Now,” below; that track… SMOOTH. Listen and download the mixtape after…

T.I.’s No Mercy is scattered all over the net by now. Of the many features on the album, is one with Drake. The track entitled “Poppin’ Bottles” was produced by T-Minus (Ludacris “How Low” & Nicki Minaj’s “Moment 4 Life”).
The song is another song for the clubs; it lacks in areas of depth but name drops all the hottest alcohol and what not.

Kanye had Fridays, Timbaland claimed Thursdays and Swizz Beatz IS Monster Mondays. Today, he released the Diddy-Dirty Money “Ass On The Floor.” With a “Pon De Floor”-esque drum intro and gliding synthesizers, the song knocks pretty hard. Dawn and Kalenna are at the forefront in this song as Diddy is the less featured on the song.

Producer of “Airplanes” and “Love The Way You Lie” fame, Alex Da Kid, is dipping his hand in the formula once again. The worlds of Hip-Hop & Pop meet again for Kid as T.I. and Christina Aguilera collaborate for “Castle Walls.” The song is the official second single from T.I.’s No Mercy.
The song is the same affair of a female on the hook but there’s an added bit of electro that we haven’t heard before in an Alex Da Kid production. Aguilera’s subtle approach on the hook makes her the highlight of the song but as to whether or not this song blows up is another situation. Rihanna’s vocals still, to this moment, sound off on “L.T.W.Y.L.” but it was #1 because of the star power behind the single. This really is not the case with T.I. and Aguilera, right now. Take a listen below to the new single.
Extra, extra read all about it… Hot off the press is a new R.A.P.P. Quelle (pronounced Qway-lay) BANGER! Fresh on the heels of his contest giveaway, Quelle delivers nothing but the best with this track. Feel free to listen to the track below.

For months now, since we first heard a snippet of “Love Is a Suicide” in one of Natalia Kills handful of websidoes, we wanted the entire song. No more anticipation because the song is finally here.
“Love Is a Suicide” is set to appear on Kills’ debut album entitled Perfectionist. The song gives the listeners promise to all of Natalia Kills’ potential, if her career actually jump starts with some force. The melody and those giddy synths are nice.

Here we have an up-and-comer from all the way down under. This would be Australian singer and songwriter, Barry Southgate, who just released his debut single, “Don’t You Think?” The single is lifted from Southgate’s upcoming EP entitled Epitome, slated for release in the first quarter of 2011. LA photographer, Steven Taylor (John Mayer, Bruno Mars, Jordin Sparks, Ne-Yo, etc…) will shoot the cover for the project next month.
“Don’t You Think?” is that simplistic organic sound made very popular by Jason Mraz. It’s not a carbon copy as Southgate’s has a unique style to him. Although the song is very cool and catchy, we want to hear more before we can have a solid opinion on him. But in the meantime, check out his official site HERE and purchase “Don’t You Think?”on iTunes.
Vulgar group, The Pack, recently premiered the video for their Aris Jerome-directed “Dance Floor.” The song and video features Dev, y’know, the Portuguese lady from Far East Movement’s “Like a G6.” Well, the video and song are pretty basic but the song packs some mean BASS. Take a look and listen below.
