Kanye West twitpic’d his official alternate album cover for his fifth studio album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Apparently the “controversial” album art has been banned by family-oriented retailers i.e. Wal-Mart, Trget, etc… In the latest Kanye fashion, he took to his twitter page to rant:
Yoooo they banned my album cover!!!!! Ima tweet it in a few…
Banned in the USA!!! They don’t want me chilling on the couch with my phoenix!
In the 70s album covers had actual nudity… It’s so funny that people forget that… Everything has been so commercialized now.
I know that cover just blew yall minds … I wish yall could see how hard I’m smiling right now!!! [SOURCE]
Blew our minds, not really but caught our attention, yes it did. At this point, nothing is shocking. The art is pretty expectant of West because it’s attention grabbing. There is nothing subtle about who Kanye West is or what he does, that’s just him. It’s funny that in this generation of music, the biggest diva is a male and we honestly mean that with the most respect.
West also wrapped up his 5th studio album in 6 years, yesterday. All the mastering is complete, now we wait:
Last day to wrap the album… I’m feeling so blessed on this day… finishing my 5th studio album in 6 years! Lining up piano sample replays
Adding the voice samples from the VMA performance to the album version of Runaway also the whole song is 8 minutes long
