It’s getting closer to Pink Friday as the official album cover for Nicki Minaj’s hotly-anticipated debut album makes its way across the net.

On the cover, Minaj takes the Pink theme literal with her pink wig and boots. It wouldn’t be Nicki if there wasn’t a little animation. Notice her alert facial expression, armless body, enlarged eyes and elongated legs. All in all, the album cover is a pleasant surprise but it does look more like a cover for a Pop album than a Hip-Hop album. Oh, we get it, it’s a Hip-Pop album.

Pink Friday was also pushed up a day for a November 22-release making her in direct competition with Kanye West, Jay-Z, Akon and Ne-Yo. So far we’ve heard four songs from the album: “Massive Attack,” “Your Love,” “Check It Out” featuring Will.i.am and “Right Thru Me.” What else will the Harajuki Barbie have in store for the listeners.
