Yesterday the music video for Sky Ferreira’s US single, “Obsession,” premiered via MTVU. The Marc Klasfeld-directed video follows the theme of obsession closely as Ferreira’s fascination with actor Michael Madsen turns into well, an obsession. She basically becomes the black sheep out of her group of friends as the lines of reality and fantasy are blurred.

As the video progresses we see glamor shots of Ferreira mixed with clips of Ferreira doing  mischevious things to her friends as Madsen watches on. It’s not until the end that we get to see whether or not this little obsession was truly a fantasy or reality.

Although “One” is the better song, “Obsession” definitely has the better video as there is more of a story behind the entire thing that keeps the viewers’ eyes glued to the screen
