• New Kanye G.O.O.D. Friday + ‘M.B.D.T.F.’ Updated Tracklist

  Another weekend is here and with that is another G.O.O.D. Friday track from Kanye West & Co. This new one entitled “The Joy” features Jay-Z, Pete Rock, Charlie Wilson, Curtis Mayfield and KiD CuDi. No official word yet but this may appear on the Watch the Throne album. The song is pretty smooth, sampling an old school soul “to-do.” Also, notice the nude Pam Grier image; it gives you an idea of what the song will sound like. Take a listen below.

• Adria Jenée Premieres Debut Single, “Leavin’”

  Adria Jenée, STYPZ‘s newest signee, received a great deal of interest after she dropped the news that her debut single, “Leavin’” would hit the net by the end of this month. Due to the increased interest she bumped up the release a few days.

  Based on Jenée’s promo images, were expecting a very raw/organic/stripped back sound from her. Her sound isn’t exactly that, it’s very much a studio sound, but still familiar with the former. With a melody oh so soft and sweet we do not think the Tevin Wilkinson & Zoltan Johnson-produced track could do a much better job of showing off Jenée’s vocals. We’re seriously feeling this song. • Ke$ha & Bangladesh Get “Sleazy”

  Finally, the one song we were hyped from Ke$ha’s Cannibal release is here. Yup, the Bangladesh-produced “Sleazy” made its way to Australian iTunes.

  All we have to say is thank God. Bangladesh kept it urban with his signature bouncy basslines and has Ke$ha rapping 100%. The song has a handful of one liners. Head on over to Proph’s to read the fresh lines, HERE.

  Image-wise Ke$ha’s dirty appeal isn’t our thing but as a Pop artist, she keeps us entertained with her free liberal spirit. Say it people, “Rat-ta-ta-tat-tat on your dumb-dumb-drum.“

• Video Premieres From Nicki Minaj, Nelly, Katy Perry, Robyn, T.I. & Dirty Money

  Over the past few days that we were missing a handful of videos premiered from some of today’s hottest artists.

  First up is the Diane Martel-directed “Right Thru Me” lifted from Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday. In the video, Minaj tones things down a great deal and is expressing her emotions to her lover, played by model Will Monfret.

  Next up is Nelly’s video for the Marc Klasfeld-directed “Move That Body” featuring Akon and T-Pain. The single is lifted from 5.0. The video revolves around some urban underground setting with some sexy chicks battling it out.

• “The Show Goes On” For Lupe Fiasco

  Lupe Fiasco almost went to hell and back with his label, Atlantic Records, but quicker than anyone expected things turned around and his album had a release date. Lasers is now scheduled for a March 8, 2011 release. Even though singles were released from the project, a new song entitled “The Show Goes On” will now take the lead from the project.

  Sonically, “The Show Goes On” is catchy and holds a better melody than most things Fiasco. The song is a well garnished appetizer that will catch on well with the radio. Of course some things are sacrificed and in this case it’s the depth and substance that’s missing from the regular Fiasco track. This is no surprise because whilst Fiasco is a true artist he is not a big seller or one to chart high. Primarily, this song will get the regular listener interested in the Lasers project before half of them run away due to the fact that the album does not contain mindless/bite-size tunes.

• J.R. Rotem, Lindsay Lohan & Snoop Dogg Collab On a Track

  Perpetual Tinseltown court girl, Lindsay Lohan, may be drowned in her own personal problems but let’s not forget that she was a decent actress and pop singer, to say the least. Earlier, two new songs leaked from La Lohan.

  Producer J.R. Rotem is behind-the-scenes on this new leak by Lohan entitled “Walka Not a Talka,” featuring Snoop Dogg. The song is a midtempo, urbam/Middle Eastern mash-fest. Lohan is feeling all types of confident ’cause she’s “a real boss b***h, start takin’ charge.”

  “Stay” is a Pop ballad sung on a teen level.. The song… hmm it’s decent and not much else to say about it.

• Premiered: Lykke Li “Get Some” & “Paris Blue”

  The lovely Swedish singer/songwriter, Lykke Li, is entering her sophomore phase as her new single, “Get Some,” and B-side, “Paris Blue,” premiered on her official site yesterday. Her debut album, Youth Novels, was an indie hit and even attracted some mainstream attention by her songs being sampled by other artists and in television commercials.

  “Get Some” is an upbeat tune filled with lots of live instruments. The drums are prominent throughout as Li’s light-as-air vocals sway through the music. The song is very funky and continues the great sound of her debut. The B-side, “Paris Blue,” is a shift to something very melancholy. There is a very dark and sad vibe behind the song and it’s plainly solemn and beautiful.

  P.S. Based on the pic above, Lykke Li and Lady GaGa Stefani Germanotta could pass for very close relatives

• Electrik Red Release New Single, “Put Ya Money On It (Africa)”

  Binkie, Naomi, Leslie, and Sarah are still going strong despite their underrated debut album’s, How to Be a Lady: Volume 1, failure. A new song, which they performed a few months ago, finally surfaces in studio quality and is the first single from How to Be a Lady: Volume 2. The new single, “Put Ya Money On It (Africa),” is produced by Midi Mafia.

  The single has a heavy tribal influence. The sound is definitely a step outside of what was on their first album but kudos to them for venturing into something new. Binkie had this to say about their new direction:

  “Musically we’re gonna take some more risks and kinda go for an international sound,” [SOURCE]

  Interesting to see what will become of E. Red’s sophomore era.

• Bow Wow & Chris Brown “Ain’t Thinkin’ ‘Bout You”

  Bow Wow must be dropping a new album in the near future as he just dropped a new track entitled “Ain’t Thinkin’ ‘Bout You” featuring Chris Brown. The song originally appeared on Brown’s & Tyga’s Fan of a Fan mixtape with Bow Wow as a feature. Bow Wow went ahead and took it for himself and reworked it.

  The song has hit potential, R&B Chart hit potential. It has that “Deuces” appeal although not as good.
