• R.A.P.P. Quelle is Hip-Hop: “BMF (Beast Mode Frenzy)”

  Here it is, a new track from the perpetual rapper himself, R.A.P.P. Quelle. The song, “BMF (Beast Mode Frenzy)” is set to appear on an upcoming mixtape. Quelle did not too release his Abstract Art. Quelle’s World : Vol 1 too long ago and he’s already churning out the next.

  “BMF (Beast Mode Frenzy)” is a certified BANGER! That bass, once again, that BASS is gruesome. The aggression in his tone and the left to right flow is bananas. This is the perfect song for an urban club setting or a smokin’ sound system. Get into this, like now.

• Margo Reveals Album Title & Writes New Song For Gwen Stefani

  Up-and-comer, Margo, posted a new interview on her Youtube channel. In the interview, we finally get to hear Margo’s speaking voice as well learn a few new things about her album. The artist revealed this about her forthcoming debut album:

  “… The name of this album is called “Gunpowder” and I decided to come up with that name because it’s mixed with the masculine and the feminine, y’know that’s me. “Gun” for the hard part and “powder” for soft and I’m an artist that has all this creative energy that’s ready to explode.”

• Natalia Kills Gets Official and Releases First Single, “Mirrors”

  This is probably our first post on singer Natalia Kills. The singer who has released a handful of webisodes and two buzz singles (“Zombie” and “Activate My heart”) to help jumpstart her career has released a preview of her official first single. The single entitled “Mirrors” is produced by Akon & Cherry Cherry Boom Boom and was written by Natalia.

  The preview of “Mirrors” encompasses everything that is electro and what is hot on the radio right now. To be honest we really like this song and think it has #1 potential, all the way. Our only gripe with Natalia Kills is that she is the definition of a gimmick and we all know how hard it is to keep up with such a thing. All of her music is sonically appealing and her viral videos have been great. We wonder if she’ll be able to crack the market big time.

• LAURYN HILL RETURNS With “Repurcussions”

  Oh how this day is going to make many people open their eyes with surprise. Almost 12 years since the release of her solo debut album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, Lauryn Hill has had a long enough hiatus and is ready to return to the music scene. The first newly released material from the talented artist is entitled “Repercussions.”

  This midtempo track is so smooth; classic R&B/Soul, sweet and heavenly vocals and some boom boom bap drums. Hill is setting the tone for this upcoming era and she will most definitely fill a void in the industry, one where undiluted R&B/Soul reigns. Overall, the song is not extraordinary but it is multi-spin worthy

• Get Right For a Saturday Night: Major Lazer “Sound Of Siren” feat. M.I.A. & Busy Signal (Mastered)

  Back in the earlier part of February the rough cut of “Sound of Siren” featuring M.I.A. and Busy Signal hit the net. The minute that gulping bassline kicked in we were sold. We knew it was to be on an upcoming Major Lazer EP and this past week Lazers Never Die was released.

  Lazers Never Die features one new song, “Sound of Siren,” and the remaining four tracks are new mixes of previous songs. The EP makes for a good listen, a crazy good listen, but back to “Sound Of Siren.” If only Dancehall would take a step back in this direction then you’d see more of it on this site. This new era of “Jamaican” music is just foolishness, with a few exceptions.

  Oh, we were jumping through different sites and came upon this “Daggering” video in Jamaica. “Daggering” is a slang Jamaican term for very ROUGH sex so the dance involves partners looking like savage animals having sex. Oh as you will see in the video, after the jump, it is also quite the dangerous dance. It’s all fun and good entertainment and even makes for great jokes but in all serious behavior, it is just a DAMN mess. Watch the video after…

• Usher Reveals ‘Versus’ Album Cover

  Usher is giving the Lady GaGa The Fame Monster treatment to his chart topping album, Raymond vs. Raymond. The album cover just recently leaked… [SOURCE 1] [SOURCE 2]

  Lots of pink and purple and bold text which looks very Miami nightlife. From the sounds of the leaked ““DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love” featuring Pitbull and “Get in My Car” featuring Bun B, the album will be all sorts of uptempo fun. Another track to look forward to is “Hot Toddy” featuring Ciara and Jay-Z. Look out for Versus on August 24.

  With all the science talk and general conversing of a big change with world, possibly its destruction in 2012, Jay Sean comes along to relieve all of our worries with a party-no-matter-what tune featuring the lady of 1,000 voices, Nicki Minaj. The single is set to appear on Sean’s upcoming fourth studio album.

  The song is not much different from”Down” which means uptempo, fun, Dance/Pop, ditty, catchy, etc… Nicki serves a nice little verse, not as good as her Trey Songz’s “Bottoms Up” feature but her flow is umm, Minaj. • Katy Perry Sings Her “Teenage Dream”

  The title track from Katy Perry’s sophomore album, Teenage Dream, and second single from the album leaked yesterday. As “California Gurls” left the Billboard Hot 100, “Teenage Dream” was right there to begin to take its place.

  We’ve listened to the song just enough to say it is a neat little Pop tune. It doesn’t infect you right away as “California Gurls” did but it definitely has the potential to take advantage of radio and stay in rotation for a long period of time. Whatever team Perry is doing, they’re doing a mighty fine job at it. Teenage Dream, in stores on August 24.

  NOTE: That’s why it took a few listens to get into this song, she does not sound like herself. She sounds a bit like Kelly Clarkson.

• Video Premiere: Christina Aguilera Wins With “You Lost Me”

  Before we get into this, we are STILL bumping Bionic. Forget the lack of support, the album is great and so is Christina Aguilera.

  Now back to regular programming, WHY, Christina, why didn’t you release this song and video to lead the Bionic era. Sure, it goes against everything radio and summery fun but this is organic and talent at a high. The video, directed by Anthony Mandler, received a beautiful treatment that complemented the song as if it could not been better. Mandler, saved up his talent and released it into this video as it does not seem  like the million Rihanna videos he directed.

  The emotions are displayed in a convincing way which pulls the viewers in and makes them connect with the pain that Aguilera sings about so heavenly. The clip, overall, is warm and heartfelt and is a far cry from the failed “Not Myself Tonight” video.

• Video Premiere: T.I. “Got Your Back” feat. Keri Hilson

  The video for T.I.’s insanely catchy made-for-radio tune, “Got Your Back,” featuring Keri Hilson has premiered. The single itself is from T.I.’s forthcoming album, King Uncaged, out September 28.

  The video features cameos by Jill Marie Jones and Lance Gross. There’s not much to the video; it’s light on creativity and storyline much like the song. There are nice scenes of Keri Hilson looking oh too beautiful and T.I. looking dapper with that swag.
