• Ne-Yo Returns With Crappy Electropop Single, “Beautiful Monster”

  Okay, so this is just the snippet but that’s all we need to hear to know that Ne-Yo couldn’t have come with a more generic, overly-radio friendly, uninspired song for a first single. “Beautiful Monster” is from Ne-Yo’s forthcoming studio album entitled Libra Scale.

  We do not have too many words and probably won’t even update the post when the full version drops. Ne-Yo receives a lot of our respect because he is truly hard working entertainer but c’mon, this song is simply, dated.

• Drake Covers Billboard Magazine + New ‘Thank Me Later’ Leak Feat. Jeezy

  Ya boy Drizzy is the coverboy for the latest issue of Billboard magazine. We’re going to keep this one very brief and just let you know that we bring you some new Thank Me Later material. • Will This New Kalenna Appear On D.M’s ‘Last Train to Paris’?

  This morning, a new leak from Dirty Money member, Kalenna, entitled “Colors of Love” featuring James Fauntleroy appeared. Kalenna’s boss/groupmate Diddy is the one behind production duties on this 1:34 second snippet.

  This song is nothing extraordinary but it is such a catchy little tune. Those “Doomp doomp doomp dah dah dah dahh’s” along with the smooth electro/urban/pop beat has us hooked. This is probably jsut a side project from Dirty Money but all of this just has us hyped for Last Train to Paris.

• Ciara Is Caressed All Over In Vogue Paris

  Whilst Ciara tells us how much he loves the way she “Rides” it on the music front, she’s taking on job deux as a high fashion model for the pages of Vogue Paris in the June/July issue. The sexy and toned singer was shot by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott in a somewhat sexual pictorial entitled Coup De Foudre.

  Ciara looks very much like a model in these photos but as good as they are we’re still more focused on her music. Take the volume of appeal in those Vogue photos and put it in her music and her album will be just as great as it should be. View the photos after…

• Video Premiere: Robyn “Dancing On My Own” + All Hearts Tour With Kelis

  Sweden’s own Robyn released the Max Vitali-directed video for her first single from Body Talk Pt. 1, “Dancing On My Own.”

  One who hardly ever disappoints, Robyn and her crew concoct a video so befitting of the single; the way the club scenes were shot just fits the song like a glove. Oh and if you like that wall setup in the video you can expect to see something very similar when both Robyn and Kelis team up for the All Hearts tour.

  You also know what that means, there will be a Kelis and Robyn collaboration in the works. Robyn knew exactly what she was doing by releasing three smaller albums throughout the year. Anyway, if the two do collaborate we’re sure it’ll be epic.

• DJ Ampero Releases “Astronaut Candy”

  It’s been a month or so since DJ Ampero hit us with a new mix and here’s how he described the latest:

  This is the track I’ve been polishing… I think I got it to where I’m happy. The breakdown is like this, (for audio i used):

  Intro from ‘Supa Star’ by DJ Premiere

  Oh, I called it Astronaut Candy because it made me do an Astronaut walk (slow motion bounce) when i heard the playback and because of the cameo beat

  With each new mix we can hear the evolution of Ampero’s talent. The songs he chose all compliment each other and had us moving all over. The only critique we have to say is the breaks could have been a little less sudden but other than that GREAT STUFF!

• Behind-the-Scenes: Robyn “Dancing On My Own” Video + Radio Edit of Single

  Tomorrow will see the video premiere of Robyn’s first single from Body Talk Pt. 1, “Dancing On My Own. The video was directed by Max Vitali and choreographed by Decida, looks promising.

  Also if you listen closely you can hear the radio edit of the single, it’s a subtle change but a very nice one. You know where to check when both are made available in full.

• Damian Marley & Nas ‘Distant Relatives’

  Who knew Hip-Hop and Reggae would be “Distant Relatives”?

  When you take a respected Hip-Hop/Rap artist like Nas and a legendary Reggae artist, Damian Marley, and combine them with their love for Mother Africa you get their latest collaborative album, Distant Relatives. The two had previously connected musically on Damian’s single “Road to Zion” off of his third album, Welcome to Jamrock, thus later on sparking an amazing relationship between the two outside as well as inside the studio.

  The 13 track disc conscious of all things is sure to touch some part of you and have you ‘skankin’ at some point. It brings awareness to Africa on tracks like “Africa Must Wake Up” and “Land of Promise” as well as inspiration in the songs like “Count Your Blessing” and “Strong Will Continue”.

  This album is filled with spiritually feel good type of music. It’s a refreshing burst of clean air and clear music that is well worth the listening time.

• Amerie Is Back Just Like That: New Buzz Track + New Album This Year

  Earlier, Amerie released The Inkredibles produced, “Who’s Gonna love U?” The song is filled with live instruments and mixes all sorts of soul, funk and Hip-Hop. To the average listener, this song sounds similar to her older music but in reality it’s a venture in sound for her.

  Also announced, Amerie is bouncing back with a new studio album this year entitled Cymatica Vol. 1. That album title is beautiful to read, isn’t it? Now, Amerie is NOT our fave artist in anyway but even we can say the lady is UN-DER-RATED. By the sound of this buzz track you can bet that Amerie will serve will serve another solid effort later this year.
