Last Friday, the leak of M.I.A.’s first single, “Born Free,” left many fans with smiles and frowns due to the left turn in her sound. The song had a definite hyper punk rock feel, lots of aggression.

Today the almost 9 minute viral video for the single hit the net and after viewing the video it seems as though the song was made for the video instead of the other way around. They song sets the perfect mood for all the graphic violence which almost comes as a shock.

M.I.A. somewhat defines what a musical revolutionary is and she just doesn’t care, all she wants to do is get her message out there. War is such a disgusting part of life.
