Drake’s hotly anticipated debut album, Thank Me Later, has been stamped with an official release date of May 25, reported by Rap-Up. The album was originally due for a February release but it was the perfectionist in Drake that was responsible for the delay:
“This is my first album and it takes a lot for me to commit to a song and be like, ‘I like this enough that I’m gonna put it on the album,’” he told Rap-Up.com. “It’s gotta be something that I feel is timeless and is better than anything that I’ve ever done.”
With “Over” riding higher each week in the Billboard Hot 100 and a bevy of Hip-Hop’s finest(Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lil Wayne and more) behind Thank Me Later, you can bet Drake is coming out swinging for the first round.
