We’ll be honest, to this very second we cannot get into the original of Gorillaz new single, “Stylo.” We just have had enough of this dark theme running through a lot of our favorite music; it works for some and not really others. Our whole opinion has changed now with this Labrinth SNES remix featuring Tinie Tempah.

The song is a bit more upbeat now and it’s not so dark anymore plus who doesn’t love vintage video game sounds. From the tidbits that have been leaked from Plastic Beach we probably will like the album and it will be critically accalimed but it most likely won’t be a personal favorite.

UPDATE: Well looky here, we have yet another great remix of “Stylo”: the DJ Kofi remix This one features a swooping bassline, lots of hi-hat action and some crowd chanting. Check it out!
