It’s been almost 9 years since No Doubt released Rock Steady. In between now and then, we weren’t tortured TOO badly with two solo projects from Gwen Stefani, a singles collection and a new song from the band last year. But for us hungry fans the wait may soon be over. On the band’s official Twitter account, a few tweets have been posted about the group writing new material and even a pic of Gwen and Tony from inside the studio:

I guess we can finally hop on the bandwagon and say: “2010 is going to be a great year for music.” We have no clue as to what musical route they will go but at this point as long as it’s not a letdown return album they could make polka music. Seriously, the band could make a killer song with some polka influences.
