So if you have not read, Mariah Carey is releasing two spin off albums from Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel. Both are remix albums; the first will be an R&B remix album that will feature collaborations with many of today’s hottest urban artists and the second will be a dance album entirely remixed by the Jump Smokers. Both albums are expected for a February 2010 release fate.

Also, Mariah Carey’s fan hubby, Nick Cannon, posted screencaps and in-studio pics from the remix videos of “Up Out My Face” feat. Nicki Minaj and “Angels Cry” feat. Ne-Yo. All that pink, red and white in the U.O.M.F. video looks like it should be released on Valentine’s Day; like a break up song. As for “Angels Cry,” it looks very similar to one of Carey’s earlier videos, “One Sweet Day.”

At first, the remix project felt like another rushed alternative to making a “real” good album but from the songs we’ve heard and the momentum Def Jam is going with them, things look sunny after all.
