The first single from Timbaland’s Shock Value II gets a mini movie. “Morning After Dark” featuring So-Shy feeds off the current phenomenon that is Twilight and mixes up a storyline that consists of vampires.
Hahah, Timbaland makes the most ridiculous facial expressions. He can’t dance so he expresses his music through his face. Overall, the video was a bust; it wasn’t too successful in creating humor because that definitely was not supposed to be serious. Give it a view!
The Beyonce I Am… tour is OVER… in the UK. Last night, at the at Nottingham’s Trent FM Arena in London Beyoncé stated these words:
“… I’ll see you in a year with a new album” [SOURCE]
Then in Twitterville, Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins tweeted:
“Yes Get Back out Here!! I mean in 1 month U write for Janet, then Jlo and then leave!! C’mon we got Beyoncé to do!!!” [SOURCE]
Just when you think you can catch a break from her she keeps on going. It’s not too bad though because next year will make it 2 years since the release of I Am… Sasha Fierce. Also, if Bey was to step away for too long it’s guaranteed she would have to fight to make her way to the top again; comes with the territory of being a popstar. Lastly, we all say she needs to take a break but when Beyoncé actually takes one it’s not so much fun; the music scene seems to miss something without the booty shakin’ entertainer.
In collaboration with Nokia, Def Jam made an exclusive bonus track available from Rated R. The song, “Hole In My Head,” featuring Justin Timberlake, written by James Fauntleroy and produced by the Y’s is an uptempo complement to the album.
The beat is mighty funky and sounds like something Tricky and the The-Dream would cook up. Timberlake’s presence is just as lackluster as it was in “Rehab” though. The song falls in between GGGB and Rated R; musically. This will sound great on a good sound system.

The video for Janet Jackson’s “Make Me” premiered earlier tonight on ABC’s 20/20 (How are they getting all these exclusives?). In the video Janet sports some full body costumes backed by some dancers and some special effects.
Wow this lady looks good for her age. It’s amazing how she may be criticized for being overweight but when the time calls for work she reforms to her slimmer self. The choreography was pretty good and on point. The black and white could be compared to a lower budget “Scream,” in tribute to her brother. Overall, it’s a decent video for a decent song. We’re ready for the new era of Janet.
Mr. 305 and Jennifer Lopez team up for the video of the single, “Fresh Out the Oven.” The single only served the purpose of creating some buzz and also revealed Jenni’s alter-ego, Lola.
This song is really an urban banger isn’t it? Pitbull and Jennifer turn the heat up in this Jonas Åkerlund-directed video. There’s scenes of Jenni rolling around in bed, lots of silhouette shots, sexy walking, etc… The video is very decent. We’re wishing that this was actually the single instead of that “Louboutins.” Check out pictures from her AMA rehearsals…
Somebody is about to get fired! Jennifer Lopez’s first single, “Louboutins,” from her upcoming album, Love?, was to be premiered in a performance at this Sunday’s American Music Awards but whoops, it was leaked. The first single is produced by Tricky Stewert & The-Dream and recently, Ms. Lopez sat down with DJ Skee and spoke about the single’s meaning:
It’s basically about when you get to a point and you’re thinking you’re in a bad relationship and say damn I have to leave; it’s not good for me type thing… This song is when you actually make the decision…
But it’s not the girl who’s like, “I’m gonna take my stuff, I’m gonna put on my sweatpants, I’m gonna cry and my girlfriends are gonna pick me up and we’re gonna go eat ice cream;” it’s not that girl. This girl is like putting on her hottest dress and her sexiest Louboutin shoes and leaving your ass, like I’m out. [SOURCE]
On first listen, we do not feel this is living up to the potential of a comeback single that will go to #1. This was Brandy’s song before she split with her label and then they gave it to Lopez. After knowing this; this song does fit Lopez better. However, this song is definitely a grower. With a video and maybe the performance this Sunday we’ll have a change of thought.
Last week when we interviewed Steph Jones he was in Atlanta for various reasons. One of the events he was in ATL; the release party for his Lifetape. Steph seems to be creating a big buzz in the underground music scene attracting many of his peers to work with him. He is creating that solid foundation so when the time comes to go fully mainstream he will come out swinging.
The G.O.O.D. Music team has come together for a remix of Consequence’s “Whatever U Want.” The original which leaked back in June now features Common, KiD CuDi and Big Sean in addition to Kanye West and John Legend. There still is no definite release date for ConsTV.
Sooo this is a certified BANGER then! The original already had us bouncin’ and boppin’ all around the place and now the song is packed full of our favorites. Then there’s that production, *Bump Buh Bump Bump Buh Bump Bump*; BOUNCY! G.O.O.D. isn’t just an acronym it’s a literal adjective.
