Blues singer John Mayer just makes some incredible songs doesn’t he? Last week, a radio rip of “Half of My Heart” with Taylor Swift made its way online from his forthcoming album, Battle Studies.

This song is, dare we say it, so “pretty.” It ‘svery suburban,;very much full of blues and soul. You can always count on Mayer to give us organic music with all the live instruments a person can imagine. His vocals are signature in this; mellow and go in sync with the background music. As the song states, WITH Taylor Swift meaning she makes a brief cameo in the end of the song. She doesn’t sing enough on this to be considered a full feature. This song is just amazing.

Also, Battle Studies leaked last night. It’s what you would expect from Mayer; meaningful lyrics, a lot of acoustic elements, a waterfall of emotions and so forth. The album will be released on November 17, 2009 and you can purchase it HERE.
