After providing the preview to the whole album of Amerie’s In Love & War this past weekend, the album has leaked today. After listening to the entire album, it is definitely one of the better albums released this year by the Pop and R&B ladies. Unfortunately, her sales may not match the caliber of the album.
There are many highlights throughout this album; a solid project for sure. There is one song that just grips us and says, “Come here and take it in.” That song would be the Jim Jonsin (T.I.’s “Whatever You Like”) produced “Swag Back.”
In the song Amerie sings about a relationship where her partner had a hold on her and was basically leaving her with a broken heart until she finally catches her senses and leaves. The production alone just makes this song oh so good. It’s definitely the most radio-friendly of the album. This song as a single and some GOOD PROMOTION is what Amerie needs to make this album be noticed. Pre-order In Love & War HERE.
