/.\/.\LIY/.\H… Eight Years to the Day

aaliyah_

Exactly eight years ago Aaliyah Haughton 22, Anthony Dodd 34, Scott Gallin, 41; Keith Wallace, Douglas Kratz 28, Eric Foreman, 29, Gina Smith, 29, Christopher Maldonado 32 were involved in a tragic plane crash that saw each of them passing away to a better place. It was one of the shocks of 2001 that left fans in complete disbelief.

What Aaliyah accomplished in the area of R&B by the time of her sudden death most could only dream for an entire career. As this day along with her birthday pass every year many people wonder where she would stand in today’s music industry. We know one thing for sure, she would continue to be ‘One In a Million’ as she was simply timeless. That goes hand in hand with the fact that someone can start playing Aaliyah’s music and it would trump a handful of today’s R&B females.

The greatest quality about her is her personality matched her exterior. She was beautiful from the core to the surface and just an all around down-to-earth person. She shared a mentality with her fans; she was well aware of that she had delicate people who admired her and not once would she ever risk breaking their spirits. She showed great humility at all times, something that has been thrown out of the window by a lot of people today.

Aaliyah will never be forgotten and will never be replaced, ‘point blank’. In the full post you can view her last documentary from the MTV Diary series and see just she was in the hearts of many.
