Above are the album covers for the Standard and Deluxe editions of KiD CuDi’s Man On The Moon: The End Of Day. When we saw the news alert earlier this morning we wasted no time to view them. Plus, CuDi’s album was delayed because of these two pieces of artwork so we wanted to see the cause of the hold up. Our opinion…

GREAT GOOGLY MOOGLY! They represent CuDi’s music in every way; this is what CuDi is about. The illustration of his face metamorphed with the moon speaks volumes but that second picture with the technicolor x-ray of his brain, circuit board and wires is like a mad scientist musician. Both covers fit their discs respectably as the Standard edition’s is a bit more minimalist and the Deluxe edition’s is much more extravagant in detail. We’re sorry but CuDi flies far to the top in our books and to see his project come together so nicely gives us something to REALLY look forward to amidst this overhyped-lackluster year of music.

September 15, 2009; this album will be in stores.

With the weekly iTunes countdown promotion of Nelly Furtado’s Mi Plan we were wondering just how the album artwork would look. Surprise, surprise, Nelly is showing us why Portuguese women are some of the most beautiful in the world. Of course that and media’s best friend, the retoucher, but she really helped to make this a very decent album cover. There does not seem to be any real concept behind it; we have the signature Nelly Furtado font, cut-out letters for the title and Nelly striking a pose against some glossy wooden background. Thumbs up!

Mi Plan is also in stores on September 15, 2009.
